Trump 2nd term prediction thread
So, looks like Trump not only smashed the electoral college, but is looking on track to win the popular vote, which seems to be an unexpected turn of events, but a clear sign of the current temperature in the country and perhaps the wider world.
Would be interested to hear views on how his 2nd term will pan out from both sides of the aisle - major happenings, what he's going to get done, what he's not going to get done, the impact of his election on the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, whether his popularity will remain the same, wane, or increase, etc.
A bit of an anemic OP, I know, just interested to hear people's thoughts now that the election uncertainty is over.
By whom, the same people who double masked? Lol wtf, I can understand credentialism a but, but when it becomes a circular logic thing of credentialed people deciding what is correct, even people as limited as you in understanding of reality should smell something is off

Why don't you try looking it up before you decide to try to take a dump in the well, simpleton?
And USD is stronger and sp500 higher so america is already objectively better for Americans than before the vote.
True. Most of Trump voters have lots of $$$ in the stock markets. In fact, most just live off of their investments and don’t even have to work for a living! With Trump their portfolios just keep growing!!! Sure, some will die cuz they watch FoxNews, but that’s their own stupid fault for believing the FoxNews lies. Hooray, Trump! Hooray, RFK! Hooray, MattGaetz and getting all up in that young xxxxx!!!! MAGA!

Tariffs + mass deportation. Food's going to get real expensive.
Expensive for who?
I admit I have a body by Frito-Lay, but with the amount of Food™ Americans eat vs the types of food that illegals are heavily involved in, I'm not so sure this is going to have a meaningful impact on society.
It's a bad day for berry, grape, and tomato lovers. The people who eat mostly machine-processed grains and other factory-produced Food™ aren't going to care that much about how ludicrously expensive the more colorful foods become. The stuff they eat can be produced by robots after being harvested by a lone farmer with a $900,000 tractor that picks, strips, separates, bundles, and replants things all at the same time, while said farmer listens to the JRE in the air-conditioned cab.
If you are voting for economic reasons this election was a no brainer and voters saw the same thing.
A few weeks ago the CONSERVATIVE WallStreetJournal ran a piece on how whoever wins the election will be inheriting a robust and booming economy. The economy is just fine. Duh.
Liars in the right wing media told their followers it isn’t, and the morons believed it cuz they are devoid of critical thinking skills. These are uneducated people who are easy to manipulate, hence Trump’s love for them. After all, this is the same demographic of people who died avoiding the COVID vaccine just to own the libz. Had Trump said, “My administration developed a life-saving vaccine in record time to fight the ChinaVirus. I encourage all Americans to consult their physician to see if this vaccine will work for them”, more people would have survived. But he didn’t. Because he’s dogshit and doesn’t give 2 ****s about anyone other than himself. Just like those who voted for him.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will not make anybody healthier
While improving our food system is a worthy goal,
Kennedy’s approach, which includes promoting raw milk consumption,
could expose Americans to increased risks from foodborne illnesses.
With Kennedy’s unscientific views guiding these decisions,
it could mean less reliable health information from government sources;
increased risk of infectious disease outbreaks in your community;
reduced access to proven medical treatments;
and higher health car
No-one cares dude. Your favorite fake news network is dead. People are finally waking up.
You can't compare expected inflation and the economy under trump vs some other random candidate. You have to compare how trump would do for inflation & the economy vs someone who wanted gov't price controls and to tax unrealized capital gains in a party that supports higher taxes across the board, wants to increase the incentive not too work among other entitlement programs and wants to continue to grow the size of gov't (as a % of GDP gov't spending has never been anywhere close to this outside
You didn’t disprove anything .
Btw tell us which country as a better economy then the U.S. right now ….
I call bs
The average European lives to be 81 years and six months old, while the average American lives to be 76 years and five months old.
You think this isn't related to food?
I don't care what you call. Why is the USA 3rd in the world in food quality and safety? Pesky facts, you just can't avoid them no matter how hard to you try.
Anyhow i don't love rfk but I think he has good intentions with food and should be confirmed
Vaccines .. I don't want him immediately getting rid of child vaccine mandates but hope he does call for more research
Because whatever agency you are getting that info from is full of **** since Americans are fatter and die younger
Well, let's hear your specific problems with them then?
Experts say us has healthy food!
Experts say kamala will win election!
Here i can do this too
Here experts say the additives banned in Europe are making Americans sick
Is that less reliable than your source?

He is a problem because the topics he touches are very relevant, the left has been disastrous for many of them, but he is scientifically illiterate and devastatingly bad (like gorgonian around here) with the scientific process.
Might still be better than a random democrat because of lower corruption but you are not going to fix health by substituting a corrupt hierarchy of evil bureaucrats with a pseudo-demented guy

Well, given that Potassium Bromate in food is safe at normal levels (20 parts per billion) and is converted to Bromide in the baking process. Bromide is harmless and removed by your kidneys. Carcinogenicity has only been demonstrated at extreme levels that would never occur in food without eating a room full of something (thousands of ppb).
Some places are overly restrictive and panic at any mention of carcinogenicity, which is totally silly, since literally too much of anything, including water, will kill you.
So yes. That's less reliable, because it's just demonstrably wrong. And it's just one guy trying to justify why they banned it in Europe with basically no evidence it should be. Also funny that nowhere in the article does the guy say it is almost certainly making people sick. Horrifically misleading headline. We fight that daily, btw.
But the USA is still 3rd in food quality and safety. Sorry about that.

Couple of interesting facts:
1) American children are among the most unhealthy in the developed world.
2) American children are the most highly vaxxed in the world.
Draw your own conclusions from that.
