Trump 2nd term prediction thread
So, looks like Trump not only smashed the electoral college, but is looking on track to win the popular vote, which seems to be an unexpected turn of events, but a clear sign of the current temperature in the country and perhaps the wider world.
Would be interested to hear views on how his 2nd term will pan out from both sides of the aisle - major happenings, what he's going to get done, what he's not going to get done, the impact of his election on the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, whether his popularity will remain the same, wane, or increase, etc.
A bit of an anemic OP, I know, just interested to hear people's thoughts now that the election uncertainty is over.
I'd be surprised if he's not confirmed, frankly. Gaetz I'd be surprised if he is, though.
Give the people what they want. They wanted Trump and all that comes with him, so they should get to have him. They believe it will make America great again.
Fortunately, as Trump and his tards have argued, as VP Harris can just refuse to certify the election results.
Very good Hanania on RFK
Richard Hanania
@RichardHanania
If you haven't looked into their claims, you are always going to underestimate just how much and how blatantly anti-vaxxers lie.
If you are on the right, I want you to open your mind and realize that no matter what problems you have with the left, Robert F Kennedy is a uniquely sinister figure who should have no role in public life. Here's just one example as to why.
RFK wrote the foreword for a book by an anti-vaxx organization he once led t
The book is called "Unknown Causes", not "Known Causes" and if you actually read it you will discover that the book does not attribute all the deaths to the covid vax. It speculates that a number of them could be from the vaccine because of the spike in deaths that occurred after the vaccine rollout. There are stats and data in the book to support that speculation.
Hanania is an idiot.
These idiots are happy about these appointments too. People will die because of this df and they just go "hurr durr deep state this is what we wanted" or "u mad libzzz lmao?"
And then there are the ones that are dumb enough to believe people with no medical training on medical issues over worldwide consensus from experts and doctors and think RFK Jr will actually do something positive for the country.
Probably even more pathetic, honestly.
Well, your experts haven't done a great job. Americans are the most unhealthy people on the planet.

This is the rare situation in which both Hanania and you are right about something. Hanania is correct that RFK Jr. should have no role in public life. And you are correct that Hanania generally should not be trusted.

So JR is going to tell Fritos not make any more chips? Coke and Pepsi to cease operations?
lol, let's make america healthy again is just another scheme that will have zero impact on unhealthy americans that poor-choice buy their own food.
No.. the president can just make someone an acting cabinet member w/o confirmation. You're supposed to only do this for a limited time, and then officially appoint someone. But who's going to enforce that w/ Trump? They didn't last time.

Yeah... we need people with just some good ol' "common sense", as JD would say.
Maybe it's not the experts who are to blame, but the corporate lobbyist who paying people off and getting **** additives into foods that shouldn't be there? Things like Brominated Vegetable Oil, Azodicarbonamide, rBGH/rBST, Titanium Dioxide, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, MSG, etc... things that other liberal democracies have banned from their foods.
If I'm trying to find one positive in this coming sht show, it's RFK jr at least understands the dangers of these things. Not high on his other positions on vaccines, etc... but if he can get some of these out of our foods, it will be a win.
Brominated Vegetable Oil, Azodicarbonamide, rBGH/rBST, Titanium Dioxide, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, MSG, etc... things that other liberal democracies have banned from their foods.
This is not the take. Most of those are completely safe (not the first one, certainly MSG is completely safe).

This is exactly what he will do. Anything one is “supposed” to do, Trump will not do. He, and by extension those who voted for him, do not respect norms, rules or laws. They will violate all of them to get what they want, and they will claim they are doing nothing wrong and will make no apologies for their abhorrent behavior. They are garbage, but this is what the US now is. It will be shocking if it doesn’t all fall apart with the baboons now at the controls of the plane. Nominating total dipshits is just the beginning. I can’t wait to see what SteveBannon is put in charge of. And SydneyPowell. And RudyGuliani. The list of knuckle-draggers in Trump’s orbit is substantial.
Bannon is going to be put in charge of rounding up Trump critics and putting them in concentration camps I hear.
Sidney Powell is backup AG if Gaetz fails.
And Rudy is in charge of news conferences at the Four Seasons hotel.
Economy is fine but kinda late on the cycle.
If a recession comes in the next 18-24-30 months that's on the economic cycle as well though, not trump, and we both know democrats will lie through their teeths like republicans did now, about that, blaming Trump.
This is absolutely not true fyi.
Monetary policy changes can have a pretty immediate impact on the economy. We're talking 6-12 months. If it's fiscal, it can take longer, but usually 18-24 months is a historical average.
Trump's election is already causing huge repercussions in Latin America politics, like Venezuela releasing political prisoners this week
I have a serious question for conservatives in here...
Why do you want to live in this level of conflict w/ your fellow American? I'm sure you know plenty of liberals in your family, co-workers, neighbors, friends, etc... are any of them really that bad? I'm talking specifically in comparison to what is pounded in right-wing media about your fellow American. I just don't see it. I can't stand your culture war BS, and the idiotic neoliberal policies you guys vote for, but I don't hate any conservatives, nor would I want to live in a world w/ that much division.
I just don't get it. Where's the win here? What's the end game?
It seems you need to make a decision of whether you want to co-exist w/ people who have different values and ideas as you, or you need to realize you're going to end up the American Taliban, just looking to control culture based on your narrow vision of the world only.
I'm just baffled at what people are doing and thinking.
Yeah... we need people with just some good ol' "common sense", as JD would say.

Well, the experts at the FDA could ban all that ****. But they don't. So where does the buck stop?
By the way I hear they are injecting livestock with MRNA now. What could go wrong with that?
Would you like some myocarditis with your steak Sir?
Experts are going to kill us all before long.

Again... it's not the experts. It's the greed and corruption. You're conflating the two.
