Trump 2nd term prediction thread
So, looks like Trump not only smashed the electoral college, but is looking on track to win the popular vote, which seems to be an unexpected turn of events, but a clear sign of the current temperature in the country and perhaps the wider world.
Would be interested to hear views on how his 2nd term will pan out from both sides of the aisle - major happenings, what he's going to get done, what he's not going to get done, the impact of his election on the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, whether his popularity will remain the same, wane, or increase, etc.
A bit of an anemic OP, I know, just interested to hear people's thoughts now that the election uncertainty is over.

Im pretty sure not voting makes it equal for both candidates. but Im no d2 and he has a way to turn negative numbers positive so who knows.
well we had 4 years of the Democrat/Biden plan and it ended up with 100s of thousands of dead in Eastern Europe and West Asia. Im kinda confused as to why you think that plan is worth voting for.

It's stunning to have to explain this, but if the goal is to avoid a Trump presidency (which is the worst possible case for even your goals, you just for some reason can't understand that), then the two options are:
1) vote for Harris
2) don't vote
obviously the only other option (vote Trump) would not help us with our goal so it's not listed. I know I shouldn't have to say that, but the level we're working with here I feel like I should cover my bases.
Now, I hope that you can see that option 2 is going to help Trump simply by virtue of it not working towards the goal, right?

You already showed you hate his cabinet picks, which tells me you at least have enough common sense to see that his presidency is going to be a disaster. And you've expressed pretty clearly you care about the people of Ukraine and Palestine (as do I), and Trump is going to BRUTALIZE them. You, for some dumb reason, think Harris wouldn't do much better for them, and you are quite wrong about that.

When people say that it's not a difference of opinion, it's a difference of morals, this is what they're talking about. I'm afraid I won't ever find rape "hilarious." Even more so empowering them by appointing them to positions in our government.
