New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Real Billionaires travel with their own mobile McD's kitchen.

There's a McDonald's Master Chef traveling with that group ffs!

Real Billionaires travel with their own mobile McD's kitchen.

This is something I never considered

All you'd need to a deep fryer (which im sure is cool on an airplane), and a flattop and microwave

Surprised Big Mac McRib isn’t a thing.

big macreeeeeyub

New mushroom burger at wendys in mcdonalds. Good but not as good as the portabella melt. Probably won't get again. The cheese is a little weird, would be better with regular American.

Kfc also with a new double down.. think I'll pass on this one as I hate cranberry but very curious about the stuffing.

I certainly would if I was a billionaire.

Just order it without the cranberry.

"If I had a billion dollars, I'd travel with a McD's kitchen," doesn't have a nice flow to it. Maybe try some art (a Picasso or a Garfunkel), and step down the $.

If I had a billion dollars I'd open up a 24/7 Culver's just so I could have Culver's divine burgers and exquisite curds whenever I pleased.

Would you open one in my house too? If so I'm really rooting for you on your journey to becoming a billionaire.

Just read about BK selling new pickle fries.

You wouldn't have to eat Kraft dinners.

Neither would I have to walk to the store.

I can't guarantee that, but I'll put your request on the top of the list of things I should do when I become a billionaire!

Just read about BK selling new pickle fries.

That reminds me, last week I wanted to try BK's million-dollar-context whopper(s). When I logged onto the app, they were offering a "whopper flight" (lol) of all three LTO whoppers for $18.99. (JFC $1 whopper wednesday was not that long ago, $6.50/whopper is a f'n deal now? I hate this timeline.) I did purchase all three, and ate 1 + 0.5 + 0.5 for dinner, saving half of two of them for breakfast.

Fried Pickle Ranch - this was the one I was most looking forward to, with fried pickles on top along with bacon, swiss and a pickle flavored ranch. Sadly, when I pulled up they told me they were out of fried pickles, only regular. Oh well. Overall this was kinda decent, but not something I'd order again, and i don't think fried pickles would have changed much. The pickle ranch had a strong dill flavor, and while I like dill, I found myself missing the mayo + ketchup flavor from a original whopper, which I usually order with extra pickles. I'd much prefer the OG here, and save a buck or two as well.

Mexican Stree Corn - this has spicy queso and a street-corn spread, along with lettuce, tomato and tortilla strips. I was most wary about this one going in, but it tasted pretty good. I was trying to tease out the corn flavor and there is some there, but I think my wife was right when she took a bite and declared it tasted like a taco whopper - taco seasoning is really the dominant flavor here. Not bad, but again, I'd prefer an OG whopper to this pretty easily.

Maple Bourbon BBQ - this was the one I thought I knew exactly what it'd taste like going in and I was least excited about, but was easily my favorite. It has BBQ sauce, bacon, crispy onions and american cheese, but what I didn't realize it is also has crispy/fried jalapeno chips. And, the jalapenos actually added a nice bit of kick! The sauce is very, very sweet, but with the fried onions and jalapenos there was a nice salty and spicy balance against the sweetness. It was actually really dang tasty, and I'd actually probably alternate visits between this and a regular whopper if this was a regular menu item. I could imagine a lot of people would find it too sweet, but for me it worked.

saluting your veteran undertitle
thank you for your fast food service during the great whopper flight of '24
and may your purple heart celbration not involve a coronary

Not gonna lie, those variety Whoppers sound terrible. Ugh.

My all-time favorite whopper remains the Texas double Whopper, followed by the Angry Whopper, and then the original.

Taco Whopper, smh

Yeah, pretty pretty good. But I still miss the amazing fish sandwiches only found on the east coast.
