Trump 2nd term prediction thread
So, looks like Trump not only smashed the electoral college, but is looking on track to win the popular vote, which seems to be an unexpected turn of events, but a clear sign of the current temperature in the country and perhaps the wider world.
Would be interested to hear views on how his 2nd term will pan out from both sides of the aisle - major happenings, what he's going to get done, what he's not going to get done, the impact of his election on the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, whether his popularity will remain the same, wane, or increase, etc.
A bit of an anemic OP, I know, just interested to hear people's thoughts now that the election uncertainty is over.
Buttigieg was in charge of transportation during a time when a ton of trains derailed and caused environmental disasters. the train in East Palestine OH in particular made a lot of headlines. thats why people think he did poorly.
Pete drove trains for Norfolk Southern, who knew?

Well that combined with the fact that dumb people think the transportation secretarycaused those things and there are a lot of dumb people.
Republicans TURN Against Their Own Voters
So they vote for pro-abortion access and for
anti-abortion candidates? Very interesting split ticket.
What? We treated you like crap and you voted for us?
Must mean you're okay with us doing it more. Thanks for your vote.
Trump's authoritarian takeover HAS BEGUN
Study Germany 1933. It took them just 2 months to
destroy all institutions. Democracy did not stand a chance.
This isn’t some Hollywood movie that lets you go back to
your happy little life once the credits end. This is for real.

What specifically do you think trump has done that leads you to believe he is going to have an authoritarian takeover?
Garland was a failure as he took to long to prosecute Trump . He needed to appoint Jack Smith quicker and mandate him if charges were warranted to act quickly so Trump couldn’t run out the election clock
For a political ploy probably yes .
But since it wasn’t , contrary to maga narrative , and believing American should of cared more about justice , it shouldn’t of been a problem .
So I’m not sure your reflection up there is good representation on how good or bad garland was .
There should be more then that justify his entire body of work
Thats fair
Gorgo claimed thinking that Buttigieg did poorly is "delusional" so I'm forced to assume that he thinks he did a good or perhaps an excellent job
You are not forced to do any such thing. It would be wise for you to assume I think he did not do poorly, but anything else would be you just making crap up.
Color me unsurprised that you have chosen "making crap up" and then claimed to have been forced into it.
It's called a strawman.
You were right the first time. There is more than just "great" and "poor." I think he did an adequate to above average job. I think believing he did "poorly" is absurd, as mentioned. Someone assuming that means I think he was OMG THE BEST TRANSPORTATION SECRETARY EVAR is just being ridiculous.
And tilting at strawmen.
