I imagine that his assumption is Linus doesn't rep much when he has the As in hand and should be afraid to value jam a weak flush here. I guess he's hoping to see A4s/A5s for the chop, or 45s. Linus is pretty limited in value combos to 3-bet the turn the turn to begin with so I guess he's basically calling a 55% pot bet hoping Linus turns over a banana hand, essentially.

Value. He's probably assuming that TopUp doesn't protect his downbet range with nutted hands enough.

High stakes players always start with GTO as a baseline, but are willing to make deviations based on their perceptions of where their opponents may be imbalanced. It's still very much a psychological game, and keeping all your ranges for all sizes with a balanced range of nuts, thin value, and bluffs is really hard.
