you'll be seeing bets in terms of dollars instead of clay objects. not good. probably explains why you played the hand you way you did.
all you should be thinking about re: amts is the pot size and SPR. otherwise the game is probably too big IMO.
There is a problem that if you lose your $800, your wife won't let you put more in, so you play weak/tight in some situations.
I don't really hate how any street is played in a vacuum.
Preflop is a little too large/committing, but it's the right ballpark (and I don't think it's so big that folding to a shove is terrible).
I think in practice most players' check back ranges are so whack that you're gonna get looked up light by a loose player here, but betting 40% pot with K-high can't be terrible.
