GGPoker shady dealings: Should we really trust them?
After reading this thread, it's time for us as a community start asking the question:
- 1: Should we trust a Chinese company that offers pok
Don't play during the promotion and you will not lose your money. Surprised if someone actually thought they will give you a higher rb during these promotions. Been like that with every other promo in the past. Atleast they announced it this time to make it clear.
BUT when it comes to Withdrawal is where Casinos become totally restrict and serious and try to throw every road block in front of player to get them distracted , have their transactions delayed or refuse to pay them because of KYC policy .KYC is almost a backhand tool for most casinos to refuse to pay the players who logged in from restricted countries and their kyc fails . U
That you should do the KYC before putting your money into the site (and insist and refuse to play if they don't give you the option) is common knowledge.
Good old pokerstars doesn't do those shenanigans while I'm withdrawing, and won't do it to you assuming your acc is already fully 100% verified and legit. It's as instant as possible, and always has been like that for me.
They do the "scam" with the fx rates, but that's another story.
KYC as far as I am aware is a jurisdiction dependant regulation that licenced sites have to follow. We don't have this in Ireland YET and hopefully never will but we have worse coming next year in the form of not being allowed to play for a prizepool of €3k+ or any game over €10.
Over here it is standard ID and pic of card used to put funds on the site and job done. No statements, utility bills or rental agreements.
Totally agree with above poster that said players should get fully verified before putting a cent on any site and I always do this and never had issues. You will ofc be asked at a random time probably at withdrawal if it is a while since verification to do it again but if nothing has changed it should be straight forward.
Some sites are a mess with verification issues and I would put money on it being down to AI being used. I am talking about 888 if no-one has guessed, it is a real **** show when it comes to this subject.
no you shouldn't trust them neither should you trust the government that enables them to be active live.
1. im just a low stakes player and only won a tourney upon registering the first week (so im a good player?) no i went all-in with all the bs hands saying it was rigged and all that you can think of and came out on top its just an algorithm
2. i left this site with a minor profit after that seeing this crap this is not online poker....
3. i came back after almost a year inactive play (it was time to let me win again to try to get me hooked) i made a final table (i folded premium hands preflop to even get this far even AA in a 6 way all-in pot would have won but that's beside the point (just creating an illusion in case i was data hunting on them) ) and boy what bs play i witness there from total bots bots and more bots.
4. i was in a dark place and was raging like crazy over the poker-client after unimaginable streak of weird ass beats.... saying i might as well kill myself
5 my account got locked and i had to explain in support mails why this happened ( after being all goody goody they put my account back in order)
6 i then played some slots which i also enjoy and thought at least this was somewhat more fair then the poker on this client never deposited anything higher then 5euro at this time
and what do you think never won anything not worthy within a week of my reinstated account i won like 1000euro from approx 3 slot games 0.10 spins crazy right
7 about 6 months later taking quite a hit in my personal life i was again in a dark place and i vented out during this x-mas promotion stating this time there is no justice i might as well kill myself if i stay to play here and they locked my account and i didn't feel like being all goody goody with them again it simply isn't a fair game they are hosting and support urged me to connect with them ( i told them to **** off they again pressed my buttons and i told them no you can gtfo you only care about your own imago )
8 within 3 hours time i had 2 cops at my door pretending to care about my well being i respectfully told them in the name of justice to go away and as of today i am really baffled that this actually happened like wtf
Point being they really don't a give **** about human beings they only care about their image and don't want headlines like GGpoker caused death of innocent player neither does your government they only care about you if you can hurt their image and their income
on another poker client which also has built in HUD i noticed that when i played vs certain types the HUD would not track their hands either so you will be manipulated thinking they play differently (i instantly called support and told me to screenshot i refused and said no this is live go take a look gave them tourney id table id and support was like well look into it
i was like wtf so this guy can keep playing with rigged stats isn't that unfair??? ) there is nothing we can do about this and our support team will look into this and come back to you on this subject (the player with rigged stats then suddenly went sit-out and came back 2min later then ruined his big fat stack and got knocked out)
well okay maybe a glitch? no because the stupid support send me an email 1 day later saying i should have made a screenshot of this incident
Poker online since 2020 is completely dead ( now i hope i don't get cops at my door for this remark lmao )
Just be careful i assume if your a HS player the consequences would be greater then what i experienced
it has opened my eyes of online play and also how the government works and fills their pockets with much needed cash from their own people

If someone knows who this poster is, contact health services. Sounds like a delusional paranoid episode unironically.

It's very common that people who had problems like a bad beat or had their cashouts delay start making accusations like that, not saying GG is perfect and unfortunately unfounded claims like that make it harder to assess and pin point problems when they do come out
Please pardon my EnglishAs much as i would like to agree with you on some point your brought but in KYC case GGpoker takes their KYC policy completely serious than most other online CasinosLet me explain you couple basic stuff regarding KYC in Online I-gaming world . Most Online Casinos allow you to Create an account , Become a Member , Even in most cases you are able to dep
Listen. To the point you are talking out your arse. Not sure your affiliation with GG Poker or just a homer but GG poker, with confidence, does NOT take these issues seriously at its core. I have personal experience with this.
GG poker has affiliates who fund players accounts to play poker. These accounts (I was one) never have to provide ANY identification. EVER. If I wanted to cash out, the affiliate withdrawals the balance from the account and pays cash. They got rakeback for how much I played. I won a high hand for thousands. I won a Christmas event for tens of thousands. I took myself off the affiliate and VOLUNTEERED my personal information to GG poker because I did not want to be given tens of thousands in cash to bring to the bank. I am not a drug dealer. gG shortly thereafter banned me because I was a winning player.
This site is shady AF and i can only imagine how many accounts there are that operate as I did, I am sure I could have had numerous accounts if I explored this more. The affiliate had ties to people directly employed with GG Poker so there is all types of shady things that go on no doubt. Does this sound like a company that takes Know Your Customer seriously? They don’t care to know unless you are winning. You cN keep spreading misinformation about GG caring about identifying players but its beyond easy to play on Gg poker and cash out without ever being verified who you are through these affiliates who have relationships with employees
This is a 100% true statement.

can confirm I was even able to play under a new acc several times through my affiliate to game the pvi system
can confirm I was even able to play under a new acc several times through my affiliate to game the pvi system
I believe it. I just know through my personal experience what is possible at GG poker and at its core it seems corrupt af.
Anyone that says otherwise are just trolling or have their personal income stream at risk.
I was funded by another account at GGPoker who I generated rake for and they withdrew from my account when I wanted a cashout and paid me cash.
My main takeaway from that, as a casual, good recreational player, was ANYONE could make an account, be funded real money and play real cash games and tournaments without EVER sending in identification and be paid out in cash having funds transferred from within the site internally.
The person who did this for me, from what I was explained, was friends with or had a personal relationship with GGPoker management in a department of the company.
I challenge any GGPoker manager to say I am lying and lets look at my accounts transactions Lets start telling truths GgPoker

Great thread.
Trust in an online poker platform comes down to a few concrete things — withdrawal reliability, transparent RNG certification, and how they handle disputes. GGPoker has grown fast which sometimes means operational processes do not keep pace with the player base and that gap tends to show up most visibly during withdrawals or account related issues.
The shady dealings concern is worth taking seriously but also worth separating into specific incidents versus general reputation noise. Has anyone here had a concrete withdrawal refusal or account restriction with documented communication from their support team? Actual documented cases are more useful for building a real picture than general trust concerns which can sometimes be amplified beyond what the evidence supports.
Does anyone have any experience of making withdrawals ($1, 000) after registering and verifying your account fully in the beginning of account creation, but then playing with a VPN afterwards?
breaking tos and crying about it post coming in
Would you be able to offer any guidance please? I’ve managed to make a small withdrawal in the past and I don’t think my account has been flagged up yet, but when I return home I would like to try making a larger withdrawal.
Even if my account does get suspended, will I still be able to withdraw the funds? I haven’t done anything malicious, just used a VPN to play whilst I’m abroad in a country that doesn’t allow GG ordinarily

I mean, my guidance would be to tell you to not ever use VPN on a site where its clearly against ToS (terms of service)
Everything else that follows is at own risk. Even if its not malicious, its breaking the rules and from your words I think you realize you were walking on thin ice to say the least.
My response of "Only the really smart ones do" was ironic because you should avoid breaking ToS and playing from restricted areas (with vpn) like the plague. I cannot advice you how to make sure you dont get punished for it, I can only advice you to stop doing it before they catch on and they do suspend your account or freeze your balance (which they can do in such circumstances)
The funny thing is this is being posted in a thread called "GGPoker shady dealings: Should we really trust them?"
Maybe we should change it in "poker players shady dealings: why should we trust any of them?"
Hahahahhaha.... Hi mohsin85. Welcome to the forums.
You seem very knowledgeable about the online poker industry.
What would you say. In a case of another black Friday/ big crackdown on one of those major sites. What do you think.
Who would get the jail time. The real owner of a company shelled like hell all the way to say one of those, Virgin Islands. Whoever he may be.
Or like some middle management/ PR guy, who communicated a bunch of frauds.
btw yeah we did Hear, here of all places. About a bunch of honorable players being banned by you guys only for being, winners. And recently we Hearing about stuff like this too
https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showp...
Same thing happening to me with WPT Global right now. $1500 withdrawal stuck for 4 days, support keeps saying "under review." Case #23830693. Chat logs
all saved.
Seems like a pattern with these sites.

I think you are referring to this thread
https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29/ne...
But just in case you just read the title and not the actual thread, precisely nothing about this has been proven.
And in fact, the top 100 winners on GG are still playing there so if they are banning people for just winning they are not doing a good job :p
I know some people have it out for sites, often times justified, but lets keep it factual.
Should we trust a site that allows Mike Postle to play on it? Check out his X replies…
GG POKER - Home of Mike Postle
I dont have X but I cant find anywhere that GG has a collaboration with Mike Postle.
They should bar him of course but I think it might not be easy.
I am sure he cheated just like anybody else but his court case was dismissed so in the eyes of the law he is innocent.
In the eyes of anyone with a poker brain, he is guilty :p
Did your Poker Brain learn what is EV
