General TV Discussion and Thread for Shows Without A Thread Thread
OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of NBC)comedies on tv yet no threads.
Just an observation.

I think it speaks to how insular we are her in the US/North America.
I'm only 1/2 Irish, but even though my wife is 100% (we're both ethnically green), I had to explain to her how bad The Troubles were. Really only given scant attention here, and I live in a very Irish part of the country.
best show to understand the troubles is to watch derry girls

Probably more of an age thing actually. I grew up in the US and in the 70s and 80s we heard on the news about what was going on in Northern Ireland almost daily.
I've enjoyed the first 3 episodes of Dexter.
I do wonder how they will build the suspense being that we know how storylines will end and that Dexter won't get caught.
really bad last episode of Silo.
How is juliette and solo's relationship toxic.. Makes absolutely no sense for whats going to happen later as well.
Everything is DEI. Now we're just missing a few trans and a gay male couple as we've had the wheelchair man, lesbian couple and every color of humans(none mixed) even though its fully closed ecosystem.
i dont know about the books , but silo season 1 i really enjoyed, season 2 has been dry since first episode, i will proabably watch it after xmas when nothing else on, but it lost its appeal to me already.
Silo book readers only - DO NOT CLICK if you haven’t read the books:

Surprisingly really enjoying Original Sin to so far. No one asked for this and i don't know why we are getting flashbacks to what happend to Dexter's mother yet again, but its a fun show so far.
It really helps that all the casting choices are spot on. Crazy good. Only Dexter being age 20 here is a bit far fetched though lol, but the actor absolutely delivers.
Gutted everyone is pooh-poohing Silo. I loved the first season, and was really looking forward to the new one.
Guess I'll have to look into getting the books.
Matt Berry's Naivety rock opera. Essential festive viewing!
An all-singing, all-dancing, star-spangled musical leap around the biblical story of the Nativity, set in 1972. With a comic twist, this familiar story is brought to life through the eyes of the innkeeper. Despairing after a bad year, he contemplates suicide but his attempt is stalled by a voice from above who points out that King Herod is coming to town.

Dexter and Batista casting is amazing.
I had no intensions of watching Original Sin but you guys are selling the **** out of it
It seems this is worth trying. Reviews seem good everywhere.

I didn't watch Dexter until the series was finished. I even knew the final episode had a reputation for being awful.
Still, I enjoyed the series assuming that Dexter would never get caught (except possibly in the last episodes) and would always vanquish his foes.
There were plenty of surprises that kept the show fresh (Dexter's brother, Doakes' fate, and Rita's fate were among the big ones).
I'd be down for a Dexter in prison show.
1 season to try again!
But it’s actually Arkham Asylum
i finishd 1899. It starts 3/10 and ends 10/10. Cant believe netflix cancelled that. Still happy i watched it. The finale's entertainment value is insane. Good pay off.
I watched one episode per weekend to start and in the middle i got really excited and finished the series quite fast.
Very sad that theres no books. I am still reading the last kingdom's book and it really helps when netflix butchers your story to have books upon books to explore this dream world.
That Day of the Jackal reboot 4 episodes in is unreal. If it ends this strong it goes in my keeper pile.
Count me among the many who are getting very over Silo. There's too many storylines, none of them really compelling, and it switches between them too many times per episode.
And Juliette + Solo having the exact same thing happen again from a few episodes ago doesn't help, guess the ending leaves something of interest to look forward to but I'm looking at my watch quite a lot while watching these days
Finished The Day of The Jackal
I thought it was fantastic. Started amazing, got a bit far fetched in the end, but i was on the edge of my seat every episode.
Don't really get the Bianca hate to? Her family life was boring, but a very small part of the show.
Eddie Redmayne was fantastic. Highly entertaining show.
