The regime is actually in very bad shape. The people of Iran are just sick of their belligerence and incompetence, and the Israeli strikes did a lot more damage than they are willing to admit. As bad as sanctions are, there is a lot of black market activity that we could shut off if we wanted to, so the economic situation could get a lot worse.
So I am not sure Iran is in a position to make a lot of demands, especially from a Western nation they have better relations with than most. I am sure my news sources are biased, so who knows, but a lot of twitter predictions the regime wont last another year.

Being a journalist in a war zone is a dangerous job. If you are a journalist who is aiding the enemy your job becomes even more dangerous.

Very probably not a Israeli related thing tbh, all actual experts at least in Italy (from all political angles) believe it was very basic retaliation because we arrested an Iranian engineer in Milan under suspicion of espionage (because the USA told us to).
Still vaguely relevant to the I/P situation i suppose given Iran role in the area.
Being a journalist in a war zone is a dangerous job. If you are a journalist who is aiding the enemy your job becomes even more dangerous.

If you read the article it explains that the “journalists” were identified as PIJ operatives posing as journalists.

Berg's remit only covers BBC Online, though that does of course have a global audience. The article claims that the 'journalists', who are all named, were members of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which took part in the Oct 7 attacks, and that their Quds Today channel is a PIJ front. That's quite plausible, although it would still mean that the Israelis were deliberately killing the other side's propaganda operatives, and the Israelis would obviously cry foul if something similar happened to their own PR people.

It’s plausible to the people who have a clue about what’s going on. If your entire base of knowledge on the ME comes from tik tok and comedians, something completely plausible may seem outlandish to you.
