President Elon Musk
He probably deserves his own thread at this point, discuss accordingly
To put it in perspective, these fires have damaged around 40,000 of the 2.6 million acres in LA county, mostly suburban high end residences (rural by LA standards). Let me know when the fires are getting down to Wilshire Blvd and I may believe they will cause a total collapse of LA. The only fires I can recall burning in LA proper and potentially causing it collapse were after the King verdicts.
This was only contained by thousands of people , losing 30 men in the process
All because of CO2 emissions pre 1933 of course
It's funny. But also pretty ****ing horrible at the same time. I was able to excuse many of his flaws including his dogmatic ones, but now I have a problem because I was all-in on Musk and now he's a human pinata.

I read it as he was saying it was designed to collapse the entire US. It's batshit either way I guess.

Did you read the article? It seems to suggest although meaning well, the untrained civilians mainly just got in the way and got themselves injured/killed in the process.
Also, this fire was 47 acres. The Palisades fire is over 23,000 acres and counting. Doesn't really support your argument.

The fact that the part of LA that burned down was a wealthy, rural Democrat enclave should make it pretty clear that incompetence, and not malevolence, was behind any alleged poor preparation and response by the Democrat government. There is no coherent conspiracy theory that would explain why Palisades would have been targeted.
Mainly because of all the Persians, even Beverly Hills is more right wing than Palisades, and much more important economically to Los Angeles. I mean there could be some insurance/lawsuit related ripple effects that could be bad for the nation at large, but as Jjoi pointed out nothing physically, economically or industrially important for the survival of Los Angeles or the nation burned down. Mainly just a bunch of wealthy (mostly) Democrat supporters had their multimillion dollar homes burned down.
I ive in a different part of the greater Los Angeles area and my life has not been directly impacted at all by the incident, and probably wont be until my insurance premiums go up. I haven't even gotten any smoke, as the wind is blowing away from me.
