Liberal government leaks that it will probably axe the Capital gains tax.
The federal government is likely to reverse course on changes to the capital gains tax that were announced in the last federal budget, CBC News has learned.
Announce the tax last year when they need to throw **** at the wall to try and boost popularity.
Realize this tax is killing capital investment (duh) and Canada will need to incentivize investors to invest in Canada after Trump tariffs, so they reverse it 1 year later. Or maybe this is Carney telling Trudeau to axe it because there's finally an adult in the room.
I've never seen a bigger disaster show of Canadian government in my entire lifetime in Canada as in the last 12 months.
Of course it’s deficit neutral as we pay it . Cutting the carbon tax will make my life and many others more affordable .

lol don't be so naive. When you are the massive front runner with the overwhelming majority of major endorsements you aren't handing out promises to be ministers - you don't have to. And I would be shocked if the environment minister stayed the same (after the obvious very short pre-election period) should the liberals somehow scrape an unimaginable minority.

Nobody is checking the genitals of people for identification, they will use the photo and the passport number and the name and all the other details to identify someone. This is why it is a reasonable, modest accommodation to let people use the gender they identify with as it just completely unhelpful for properly identifying someone. Since it isn't helpful for security, there is no harm to make this small accommodation here.

The things you list like long hair and make up and nail polish are gender stereotypes, all easily changed and different from person to person, but this is a great example of why using this for proper identification is silly.
