I think so. This was years ago, but I'm pretty sure I made it that far. Maybe only a few episodes farther. (Looking at a season 4 episode list, I think I made it at least to "A New Man.")
Both shows at this point in time were feeling a little like homework. Riley is just such a drip, and for all I heard about what makes Angel great, basically none of the characters people talk about in that regard are in the show yet.

haven't seen them all but no arguments really with the ones I have.
watched Pulp Fiction again a couple of years ago, and what strikes me is that, for all the style and non-linearity and such of the movie, at its core, it's really a story about grace and redemption.
Jules and Vincent go through the same incident that should've killed them, and they survived. Jules takes it as a moment of divine intervension and decides to re-evaluate his life and change how he's living, and he survives the film. Vincent rejects it, and he dies.
Butch could have left Marsellus to whatever fate the rednecks had in store for him. But-- perhaps influenced by the watch story-- he believes you don't leave a man behind. And even though they were trying to kill each other minutes ago, that was in the game; this is something else. Even Marsellus doesn't deserve this. Butch goes back to rescue him, and Butch gets his own grace-- Marsellus letting their beef go; Butch is free of having to look over his shoulder for the rest of his life.
Also, fun detail I didn't pick up the first time through but did on subsequent watches-- Vincent screws up literally every task assigned to him during the film.
