English Premier League 2024-25
2024-2025 EPL Preview
Man City have set another record with 115 charges of financial shenanigans and also managed to win
5 goals will do here as well
If we somehow manage to scrape a draw tomorrow, Spurs vs Newcastle will be a truly epic shitshow of attempted trophy dodging.
Martinelli off injured
Great. Amazing.
Good thing we acted in January. As soon as Edu left we forgot how to make transfers it seems
Unable to watch, but saw Martinelli subbed off early...... Clearly need more games so we can have more injuries.
Isak is just amazing. He's got Saliba on toast. What a brillient player.
Lol raya lol saliba lol gabriel
Lol farteta
That was uncharacteristic
What a towel throw
Although 5 is still enough
Arsenal Humbled should be the headline
That League Cup ball must be really bad for Arse to lose so convincingly. Granted it didn't seem to be an issue for Arteta before these legs, or for any other team, but still!
"it must be the ball" chants from Newcastle fans were quality
Also the obligatory "its only the league cup mate" is due.
Btw if Spurs make the final Levy has the chance to do one of the funniest things ever
That seems a little bit like our OAP minds just not being able to keep up with inflation (and in particular, football inflation). We remember Ronaldo going to Real for Β£80m and thinking "that's about right for the 2nd best player in the world". These days Β£70-80m does not even come close to getting you a sure fire hit.
There is a reason that when you look at the 50 most expensive transfers OAT, only 6 are defenders. That's because defenders are not as valuable as midfielders or forwards.
So when you're spending Β£70-80m on a defender, they should absolutely be a sure-fire hit.
Ornstein made me mad this morning. Apparently Villa said no to 40m instead they wanted at least 60m.
Idk who said no to that, but they need to get fired.
Maybe lego pep is allergic to strikers
There would seem to be significant upside to Arsenal signing a high quality 9 right now, like you say, it seems absurd to have passed that one up.
I guess that's why the Duran transfer seemed so dragged out. Seems insane to baulk at 60m
Cant imagine Villa would have let Watkins and Duran both go in the same window without a replacement (lol Rashford no)
That said 40m is borderline insulting
The fixture congestion for arsenal has kind of already past.
10 day break now, then 3 games in 13 days to end feb, then 4 games in march, then international break to bring us into april.
My guess is saka gets held back till beginning of april to miss the international break and ben white should be back before then.... and arsenal are kind of just fine depth wise?
I think the emergence of ethan/mls mostly solves the depth problem in the immediate term and eleviated the need for a short sighted xfer/loan in january. I personally thought we should of tried to do the kolo muani dry loan deal that juve did since it wouldn't disrupt summer business. Buying the wrong player is way worse than buying no player IMO. Buying watkins for 60m then needing to replace him in like 2 years seems like pretty short sighted business that could hamstring you down the road from getting the guy you really want.
If you want to have an issue with arsenals xfer business then last summer is the window you should have a problem with not this january imo.
I don't think we are not fine for someone chasing that point deficit/UCL
Most likely our owners are quite happy with the way things are going. If we bink we bink, if not CL next year etc.
I am so ****ing nervous. Quick Salah hat trick will stop that.

Kinda agree tbh. Think 40m for a 29 year old Watkins is plenty.
Also. I'm sure most will call me crazy. But I prefer Havertz over a Watkins anyways.
Van dijk just deliberately elbowed richy to the face but apparently that's not a foul
Can't help but think that opens the floodgates
