I am a literal legend of gambling, ask me anything.
What im doing is a gift to this dead site but they will probably lock the thread since they want no traffic or interest.
I think what separates it from any other movie is that while it does not have a structured plot like most movies you'll see, the story is still really captivating. And that is a tough needle to thread.
It's hard to explain what the movie is really about and a lot of it seems like dream sequences instead of following a coherent narrative, but despite all that, I still get just as immersed in the characters and what happens next in the same I would with a really good movie that has a more structured / literal plot. It is more like watching a work of art than a movie. That's why it's my GOAT anyways.
godfather, clockwork orange, apocalypse now, good bad ugly, scarface, pulp fiction, 2001, goodfellas, blue velvet, big lebowski, im sure ive seen all over these movies 10 times+ so i must like them a lot. casino, caddy shack, boogie nights, and a bunch of others too. its more about directors than movies i suppose. cant go wrong with kubrick, lynch, scorsese or tarantino. mostly great stuff from coppola and leone. i tend to like hitchcock and oliver stone as well but they have some boring movies at times.

Hitchcock directed 65 movies.
At least five could make the list.

In a vacuum what are your 1 or 2 tips to help a newer player live 1/2 NL?

The first online poker site i signed up on (so long ago now i forget name) you could order "virtual" drinks at the table and tip the dealer. thats how good the ****ing games were...lolololol. Then came the "party" era which was literally printing money, it was insane, cheating was rampant an obvious but it made no difference the games were so good. that was the "golden era", th
Possibly Paradise Poker. That was my main site back in the day. The 20/40 limit games were great. There was also Planet Poker, which was the site Mike Caro shilled for. They might have been the first to use the four color decks, which caught on everywhere (except live).

Mike Cato (or maybe his wife) got 4 color decks in one table at Hollywood park for a test over 20 years ago. It was a complete failure. The fish who ran bad blamed it on the 4 color deck and refused to play with it again.
Thank you Limon for your Los Angeles recommendations. Yeah I can see why you think it’s the best place and probs is, everything going on there, really cool place to visit, got robot taxis and everything 😀
Do you have any knowledge of interesting gambling stories involving chess?
If a player in the small blind in an unraised pot pulls back his small blind and replaces it with the same denomination chip, and the big blind notices this and says check can the small blind now go ahead and raise??

if the SB pulls back their chip in LA raked game the BB would think its a chop and fold their hand. The floor would rule its a chop. In a time game the SB would not be able to raise. the floor would rule the chip change was a call, just like when someone throws in one chip to call a bet. and/or they would say the peculiar chip change induced the BB's action.

i did a short interview. some good conversation.
cremation, burial at sea, or embalming with open casket burial?
doesnt matter, lol. Ill probably get certification from the state to be buried at my house and build a massive immovable cement mausoleum in the back yard so the future homeowners have an interesting conversation piece and i can haunt them.
