The "LOLCANADA" thread...again
So what's new?
I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet...i'd be shocked if they lost the election now.
Just shows just how incompetent Conservatives are.
It's an absolute fact that Pierre likes Trump, would have voted Trump if he was American, and generally supports a lot of Trump's view of the world.
This doesn't need to be an "op". Just the truth about Pierre frankly.
It's not a popular time to be into right wing identity politics. Because they blew their faces off. And this is coming from a centrist who was otherwise totally ready for the right to take power.
Like for example, if Ford doesn't cancel Starlink for good, the dude is a total Trump
Can you tell me what good it does to cancel Starlink? Trump doesn't own it and you think Elon cares? All your doing is screwing folks that live in areas without high speed internet
Ya sure , some places outside of Alberta could be far right as well obv.
Canada's top polling firm Leger has them both at 37% federally which would put the Liberals in at a majority.
Of course we are still at minimum two months away from an election at the earliest and campaigns matter.
Do you think Canadians will buy Poilievre's makeover of a tough guy yelling Canada first?
That poll modelled out as a liberal minority, but the point is that this one poll is BY FAR the best poll they've had in ages from the many polling companies. Current bets absolutely still should be on CPC win. I don't believe the results until there is some type of convergence.
lol isn’t why u love PP so much …
Like rafiki said , truckers love trump and polievre .
To claim Alberta isn’t maga .
I’d bet many living in Alberta would agree to be the 51st state .
Albertan’s are very patriotic to their country and let me remind you Alberta has never voted to leave Canada nor have they ever had a separatist party . Two things Quebec can’t say

What the hell are you talking about? Ya obviously he would have, any conservative person living in America would have...
Trump has a lot of good views of the world, are people just supposed to be ******ed and scream all things orange man bad?

Bullshit no you weren't. You were a waiting for a reason not to, and the psyh-op currently happening gave you one.

Huh? Who said I "love" Pierre. Show me one example of him embracing MAGA politics since Trump threatened tariffs?

100% it'd be a close vote, why wouldn't they?

It’s definitely an interesting question as to how Albertan’s would vote .
Can you tell me what good it does to cancel Starlink? Trump doesn't own it and you think Elon cares? All your doing is screwing folks that live in areas without high speed internet
It's a question of timing. We have to inflict maximum economic pain on any hostile country that attempts to do that to us. Anywhere we can impact any American company (and bonus for it being Elon's since he's in the cabinet), we absolutely have to.
And anyone against that logic is simply a traitor to our country.
People can have their improved internet later, when this has played out. Right now, this is a small sacrifice.
So anyone currently using starlink in northern ontario is a traitor to Canada?
Albertan’s are very patriotic to their country and let me remind you Alberta has never voted to leave Canada nor have they ever had a separatist party . Two things Quebec can’t say
lol ?

On November 6, 2019, a poll conducted by Ipsos show a historic high of interest of secession from Canada in both Alberta and Saskatchewan by 33% and 27%, respectively. On January 12, 2020, Wexit Canada was granted eligibility for the next federal election.
Yup they don’t want to leave at all …

Danielle Smith, who’s vying to become the next leader of Alberta’s United Conservatives, has promised that if she becomes premier, new legislation will simply allow Alberta to ignore federal laws, court rulings and regulatory decisions that the provincial legislature doesn’t like.
That sound pretty much like an independent party lol ….
The hate on Trudeau and other French Canadian is palpable from lizen as always .
From 2024 , if some Québécois want independence at around 30% it’s bad but if it’s an Alberta it’s doesn’t count ?
lol the usual far right double standard ….
Support for independence was at 35 per cent, Bourque said, around where it has been for more than a decade.

Keep try find a victim lozen , someday you will find one eventually …
13 Premiers running off to Washington to plead our case seems so pathetic. Let's stop this crap. It is embarrassing.
Let's process the tariffs, have the PM announce our response(s) in dollar for dollar terms, and then sit back and shut up and figure out what we have to do internally to handle this. No more begging for meetings with Trump, or whining like life is not fair and complaining that what Trump is doing does not make sense.
I know it is going be tough, but we need to stop engaging the Orange Menace and just make some calculated and strategic counters to whatever he may be doing on any given week.
When we take the "we need Trump to stop this" narrative it just feeds his ego. The worse it is for us the more he is going to like it. We can't appeal to any sense of fairness or compassion or refer to what our relationship and economic partnership "used to be". He has no compassion for Canada, so why grovel to him?
Our best approach may be to just not engage the US at all. Don't ask for meetings. Just respond.
Let the US citizens complain about how any tariffs on Canada are/will impact them.
What the hell are you talking about? Ya obviously he would have, any conservative person living in America would have...

When and on what u ever criticize trump !??!?
Even now u praise him lol …
The best way is to realize even with your best friends , always good to have alternative in case of black swan ….
Yes Canada should start realizing for our national security , being dependant only on one country for commerce at like what , 75-80%, isn’t something we should aim for .
Having a diversify economy is great but u need a diversify economic partners too …
About time to revitalize some economic law between provinces and Europe and other partners .
Sure
I’m not the one criticizing separatist 😀
I dont know how much truth there is to this, but I actually read some Twitter thread that argued Quebec is the main reason for all the inter province trade restrictions, to protect specific local industries. For example milk production. And opening things up might upset Quebec to the point they finally take the plunge to try to secede.
Yes Quebec separating for milk makes a lot of sense !
Twitter go figure ….

Every province has rules that limit what services, labour and goods can cross into its jurisdiction from another province. Some are clear, such as rules forbidding the sale of alcohol from another province to ensure a monopoly in their market.
Ps: every provinces decides what they want to open up .
