New fast food discussion/review thread

The Carl's Jr closest to my house in San Diego closed a couple of months ago. They were at that location for at least the 40 years that I've lived there. I went there a lot when my kids were young. I used to love the Sante Fe Chicken Sandwich. Have to admit I haven't been there in years despite the constant deluge of coupons.

The $3 son of baconator is the menu price so you can stack it with an offer. I hope that's still available in a few weeks when the thin mint frosty is out.

Confirmed and that's a helluva deal. Doesn't appear to be limited to 1, either.

Been a while since I had Jimmy Hula's so I got their Burnt Reynolds burger. So damn good.

Had a bacon portabella melt yesterday that might have been the singular best FF item I've ever had. Griddle must have been screaming because the outside of the patty had a nice crust on it while the inside was still light pink somehow. Absolutely smothered in sauce and mushrooms. A delightful mess that I dont even regret eating in the car.

I used to get the BBQ chicken sammich all the time, but I haven't had one in awhile.

They've had some good stuff but it hardly varies. When it never changes I tend to forget about their menu. Like their chicken tenders are great, and their buffalo sauce is the best in fast food.

McDonald’s Shamrock Oreo 95/100; had to deduct five points for the packaging. Amazing how thick it was with how runny the shakes are. The mint was just right, not too sweet, and the cookies were ground perfectly. Neck & neck with Arby’s Creamsicle imo.

I suspect the end product will be day after St Paddy Daylike but will update tomorrow.

I think you are supposed to cut that with Jameson?

I will NEVER understand the incessant need to ruin perfectly good deserts with the godawful taste of Mint.

Shamrock Shakes were much better when they were vanilla flavored with no mint.

$5.50 for 4 of those is actually a pretty decent deal. Tasty lil buggers.

I planned on getting the shamrock shake today but saw they do a mcflurry also so I'll be getting that instead.

Those dipping burritos were good but even at BOGO still might be slightly overpriced. Definitely a good time to try them.

I do not see that deal and feel cheated. $5.50 for 2 is definitely a rip off. I'd pay $5.50 for 4.

Mint is so hit or miss. I generally love mint things, but I cannot stand the mint flavor Rick uses in shamrock shakes.

So I’m an UberOne member and haven’t used Postmates in years when I briefly signed up for membership with them.

So obviously haven’t used them since Uber acquired them.

My friend today told me to try out a Postmates code he found, which didn’t work. However (!) I saw that I had an offer for $20 off a min $25 delivery order from select stores (restaurants). Expiring Feb 21st 3am iirc.

So check out your Postmates if you have UberOne (or check anyway) because you might have the same promotion offer!

This was really good too though a lot frothier. The King’s Hawaiian and Curly fries were both GOAT level.
