were the shrooms a pile of thin sliced fungi atop the patty
or more like a big fat cap grilled on the flat top with melted cheese
pile mixed in with the cheese sauce. super messy but in the best kind of way. it's the ultimate umami burg.
Saw on twitter this week that Steak N Shake is switching to tallow for their fries, all locations supposed to be changed over by the end of February.I'll be interested to see how this changes the product, I've never found their fries to take on that much oil since they're shoestrings. And I do wonder how pure the tallow will be, since for example a lot of restaurants that say

When you can grab an offer in the app along with a couple of $3 Wendy's son of baconator, it's the best burger deal of 2025.
I believe I will be going to Wendys today to partake in the SoB deal once again. I actually prefer Wendys single burgers to the doubles.

They already have bagels here in SO AZ, but they call it sausage egg and cheese bagel, or something like that. The bagel is cold though, which makes it excessively chewy. It's nothing like a traditional toasted bagel. Which I wish I could get, but there aren't any bagel stores around. Not everything about the Big City sucks.

Most fish sandwich deals start during Lent. This year Lent starts on March 5th. But some franchise owners do their own deals whenever.
Tried the thin mints Frosty today, it was fine. Not life changing, just fine. Don't think I'd pay the 50 cent upcharge again.
The $3 Son of Baconator, however, was worth the stop.

Tried Chicken Salad Chick for the first time yesterday.
Got the Chicken Salad Melt with bacon and cheddar. Literally melted in my mouth. Fruit was fresh. It came with a mini butter cream cookie that was okay. Then I also got their extra large rice krispy treat with chocolate chips that was excellent.
