Donald J. Trump (For everyone else)

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

Why don't they just establish a "Ministry of Truth" and say the book was a motherblanking prophecy, while we're at all this make-believe crap? One of the main sources of immorality is overruling reality with make-believe, whims and wishes over reality, faking reality as a primary way of coping. And we're looking at it in spades, clubs, diamonds, hearts and frickin jokers.

Biden admin tried by having FBI and other institution talk with social media in detail about censorship

good try.

What try am I making? I said that I didn't find the argument particularly convincing.

I agree that it is not fair to single out biden for today's inflation.

The blame for today's inflation should be on nearly every single dem politician and even a handful of repubs that fought their asses off to close as much of the economy as they could for as long as they could, print as much money as the gov't did and hand out as much money as they could.

Keeping gov't spending (as a % of GDP) at rates usually reserved for world wars and deep recessions since covid is also completely unacceptabl

This is just a waste of words.

Biden is to blame for all things wrong and Trump is to praise for all things good.

This is how it will be for the next four years. In the dictionary of contemporary conservatism, "responsible" only describes others when the fallout is negative.

If only we could have seen this coming...

GOP Proposes $4.5 Trillion Tax Giveaway to the Rich While 'Ransacking' Food Stamps and Medicaid

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showp...

I've done work for Meals on Wheels for many years now. They were part of the cuts from the USAID funding. Trump administration is literally stealing food from the mouths of seniors to pay for the billionaire tax cuts that they don't need. You guys must be so proud!

We're all going to be paying for these cuts. There's no way to justify them... at all... it's just a wealth shift, but I'm sure there's plenty of propaganda out there to convince you guys otherwise.

Till approx 2019 yes, in a technical sense, because the children of illegals are citizens (but they are poorer and so on, the problem isn't solved by giving them citizenship).

Then Biden massive use of TPS basically legalized some other millions of illegals, except when removed they go back to be illegals.

So let's believe the estimates are true at around 11M. That doesn't include the 600k TPS Hastings, the 400k venezuelans etc. Now that Trump is removing those TPS, the number of people who have t

Again, you are wrong and seemingly just making things up

If you can't do the research to speak about a topic intelligently, you shouldn't talk about it. If your goal is to endlessly spread lies then I would question your benefit to any discussion on this forum.

Okey Dokey, the health of America is in great hands now.

As painful as all of this is, maybe it's the absolute best solution. When these grossly incompetent and horrible people all start doing grossly incompetent and horrible stuff, maybe it wakes up a few folks.

In my experience, that's never happened. They always just end up blaming someone else. Everything is spun to blame the previous administration, or immigrants, or... The conservative party in America has never done anything wrong in my lifetime.

I wish this was a joke.

According to the Federal Reserve, it costs $0.032 per $1 note.

notes wear out coins do not . Its why Canada replaced the $1 bill and $2bill with the loonie and toonie

The actual hope is they give up on hoping the government exists to fix their lives.

If any election can make gvmnt completely disfunctional, you want to build a life where *you don't need government at all as much as possible* so you refuse to fund most gvmnt functions and build private alternatives.

And that's how we (=libertarians) win

This is the root of the problem. They say something easily verifiable but instead of spending 12 seconds verifying information right wingers spend 4 hours propagating misinformation everywhere so that by the time a correction is made the misinformation is the pervasive "truth"

You'd probably be shocked to learn that Iron Mountain doesn't even have an elevator yet Musk told the world that an elevator was the bottle neck in processing government retirements. Its like crack for people who lack any sort of thinking skills

Well... that's the intentional goal, as I'm sure you know. They know it takes 10x more energy to debunk a false claim, than to assert a truth. So you end up spending nearly all your time, debunking their BS, instead of asserting your truth.

USAID and the Politico lie is a good recent example. Musk came out saying $8m was spent on Politico, when in fact it was $44k this past year. People on both sides of the isle have spent millions on Politico pro for decades because it provides in depth coverage of congress that can't be bought elsewhere. And it should cause any thinking person to take a step back and ask, why are Musk and Trump lying about these things? But they are caught up in a narrative like a feeding frenzy.... they can't get enough of the BS because it feeds the frenzy.
https://thehill.com/homenews/media/51309...

If ANYBODY (has nothing to do w/ political ideology) made an obvious and verifiable lie about something, I'd immediately try and understand their goal.

But this doesn't happen... and that's the bigger problem, because it's cult like behavior, where anything said by the cult is taken as gospel, even when it's easily debunked.

are you guys ready for 'the big one"

And here we are, you disagree with my claims and my logic and that becomes ground to threaten to ban me.

You wrote several objectively false things responding to me (which i pointed out one by one), including you linking a paper that said that deportation DECREASES WAGES then claiming that means it's inflationary (LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL), but you can take the high ground and claim "i lie" when i claim you do lie, AND use it to threaten a ban because of "endless lies".

You just made up a bunch of stuff to pull 15 million out of your ass. I don't disagree with your "claims", I am flat out saying that you are just making **** up. Again.

And, if I wanted to ban you I wouldn't threaten. I could perma ban you right now and the mod team would probably throw me a pizza party. You've likely been banned upwards of 20 different times, with zero being from me.

You mean like MSNBC saying Trump awarded Elon a contract for armoured Tesla’s ?

You mean like MSNBC saying Trump awarded Elon a contract for armoured Tesla’s ?

Took 15 seconds to check this reportage is in fact correct, as the contract has now been cancelled, apparently because of such reportage

The State Department said Thursday it is abandoning plans of purchasing $400 million worth of armored Tesla vehicles after a public document detailing federal contracts for fiscal year 2025 gained wide attention.

That expected purchase of Teslas, which was slated for September of this year, is now on hold, according to the State Department, which now says it has no plans of fulfilling the contract.

So, no, not like this.

by diebitter k

The contract was started by your Sleepy Ice Cream boy.

The Tesla contract started in the Biden administration "to explore interest from private companies to produce armored electric vehicles," a State Department spokesperson said on Thursday.

Trump has no intention of moving forward with it.

This Eric Adams thing has a stench to it. Not that it is any different from any other trump stench.

Curious, will all of these federal layoffs have a significant effect on unemployment - short term or long term?
