What if I told you Nima's brother is a member of the Thai Royal Family.

Which, according to Thai culture and custom, effectively makes Nima a member of the Thai Royal Family.

And what this means is that Nima could have anyone killed who lives within 100 miles of a Thai restaurant for about $500.

And he didn't. To my knowledge, he didn't even threaten it.

He's a good dude. He trolls and it's fun for him but he leaves that **** on the internet.

You guys are scum.

I thought he was a red-blooded Persian?

I thought he was a red-blooded Persian?

And his brother is a white dude from California.

Kindly leave your ignorance and racism at the door and start with Wikipedia.

Here is factoid for you: Rama X is the richest monarch in the world.

nima, fun fact - it is illegal for members of the royal family to marry a non thai

jfc man do 5 minutes of googling before you do your standard room temp iq posting in the future

Considering that Nima couldn't even successfully sue Admo in small claims I dunno how worried anyone should be that he could engage a discount Thai hitman.

best part was the judge literally walked him through it - i forget what it specifically was but he tried so hard to get nima to say the magic word that he needed to hear to rule in his favor and nima was too stupid to understand this and not paying attention to what he said and instead was planning out his closing argument because he wanted to do it like it was done in the movies

judge said "now if x has transpired then i would be required by law to rule in your favor but you haven't presented evidence of x"

*x had transpired

"so i'm asking you now, has x taken place?"

*without missing a beat nima responds with this

"your honor, what is happening here is a violation of humanity and i seriously worry for the future of the human race because"

*judge cuts him off

"i take that as a no, ok we're done"

thought it would be hard to top the judge cutting off fubster with a "i don't gaf what you do for a living" but man nima was handed a victory on a silver platter and still blew it

I also loved how Nima couldn’t sit down for the court hearing but kept pacing around [strike]his[/strike] tdad’s apartment.

This sounds like an interesting story, with which I am not familiar. Too bad the thread got nuked.

I wonder if, like a lot of modern systems, "deleted" really means, "in the database, with a deleted attribute, which isn't shown" and it could be resurrected.

It was just a bunch of us poking through the bars at a dancing monkey. You wouldn't have enjoyed it. I wish I'd never found it.

You can ride that high horse right out of town, bro.

Is it a high horse when I was a willing participant?

A high donkey, then.

lol

Hi, Earl.

Thanks, but I've been in the midst of them all day. I had to drag my chainsaw out this afternoon for the first time in several years to remove a downed limb from the property line. I was exhausted afterward and sat on the patio drinking a couple of beers with my cat who was hoping I would get him out of the wind. I told him it was just like being at the beach. He was neither amused nor distracted.

The cold front is due any minute, but so far the tornadoes are northwest of me. Fingers are crossed at the moment that they stay away. The front should pass pretty quickly, so that is the silver lining I'm clinging to right now.

Whee!

Tornado sirens were blaring due to a radar indicated tornado heading this way so we fled to the laundry room. Nothing sighted on the ground yet according to TV talking heads. Trees down in the community adjacent to ours on the west, and a radar indicated a tornado near a town just east of me so not sure if the same one but probably.

Briefly lost cable and power, and still getting heavy rain and lightning but the line of storms has moved east so we should be completely clear of weather in an hour or so. I guess we'll find out what the damage is tomorrow. 30,000* customers without power in the area right now.

ETA: *20 minutes after this post 47,000 customers without power in the area. I'm not eager to look out the windows in the morning to see what I need to clean up. Ugh!

Roll with the punches
And tree branches
Tom!

I was camping this weekend. Never packed up camp in the dark before, but with the weather alerts everyone was getting, we decided to bail before our brand-new $2K custom canvas palace was wrecked by the weather gods. Fortunately, we were at a site with a lot of permanent structures, so pretty much everyone in a tent was able to move inside, but since we only live an hour-and-a-half away, we just went home.

Got a text this morning from someone who stayed that a giant tree limb came down right where our tent had been, so I think we made the right call.

Wow. Good call on leaving early!

Good decision making ftw!

I haven't seen many reports of damage around here other than some trees uprooted and scattered power outages still. My yard did not seem to collect any large limbs and only a few small ones as the storm passed through.

Found this in the front yard this morning. Somehow, it managed not to hit the house, fence, power lines, or even the bushes. Going to have to get out my chainsaw and do my best Tom Ames impression, but it could be so much worse.
