Time rake is the best, but doubling the stake because you are under the impression it increases your bottom line is not cool when it's forcing other people to do what they don't want to do.

Id absolutely agree people shouldn't be bullied. And some people need to get social awareness. If you ask for a straddle and people are looking around awkward then they obviously don't want to just leave it alone.

I don't even ask people. I just throw it out the first 2-3 orbits. If it's basically just me at that point I stop.

With that said any reg knows their room. If you know a certain game basically always has the straddle on don't ruin it. Just don't play if it's too big for you.

What is the current earn rate for poker comps? The first FAQ post looks outdated as it says NL games are still 10 handed and this info isn’t available on bravo either.

$2/hr for pot raked games, $3/hr for time raked games in food comps. You need to go to the podium in the back to redeem your comps. It's a stupid antiquated system that is bonkers they haven't fixed in 9 years.

I don't have any specific recommendations on dining options, but there are some decent places. Ginger is probably the most all-around popular (asian fusion). Shake Shack only gets 50% comps value.

$1.50 an hour for pot raked games. Unfortunately every mgm property is on the same antiquated system

I haven't been to MGM Harbor for a few months but I was there today and they now have table number signs above the tables and it is AMAZING. A great improvement. Love it.

Another great improvement is rake is now 6 plus 3.. ..more rake is better

What’s is deal with this guy Rodrigo? He gets blind drunk and loses the ability to control his bladder. This happened at least twice yet MGM allows him to return.

The drinks are expensive now. My buddy got a few Tito's and soda's and he was convinced they were putting in rail liquor and just pocketing the difference. I paid $10+tip for the drink and he drank it. I only order beer since i've never had any luck ordering a mixed drink.

Not surprising because Vegas properties did the same thing but still sucks, especially with the three dollar jackpot. I remember the days of 4+0 eons ago, which are long gone. If you don’t hit high hands pretty rough, and makes table changing bad tables even more important. Only recourse is time games or I guess 6+0 five card.

The water down the drinks b/c foreign nationals have a problem controlling their bowels . One guy ��himself b/c he was drunk at the table.

At MGM it is okay to get blind drunk and loss control of their bowels. The same gentleman has done this 2x and they still welcome his business

However, the point of my post is that I looked in the FAQ's in the first post in this thread to check. While it said the rake was still only $5, it also says 1/3 and 2/5 NLHE tables are 10 handed ( and the promo drop is still $2) so I don't know how many years it's been since that page was accurate. Can someone on 2+2 either update the information or at least take it down based on the premise that no information is better than misinformation. I'd imagine the same thing can probably be said of every venue's FAQ page.

Cash tables are 8-handed with 6+3 rake.

I know for a fact that the cap was increased to $6, but am unsure that the drop increased.

Upto $6 on take up to $3 on promo drop. Live just switched to it as well

I'm moving from Chicago to Alexandria in a couple of weeks, will be c. 10m drive from this place.

I've played there before but obvs just when visiting (1-3, 2-5, one horrendously poor shot at 5-10 where I got absolutely destroyed), like the room.

Sorry if this is answered 1294082109482019x, but what do I need to know about comps etc, playing as a local rather than a visitor? Any "secrets" I should know about parking or call-ins or anything?

For comps you have to ask to redeem them. Think it is like 2 dollars an hour or something. Parking should be pretty straightforward, there is a garage.

Key tips are to shower, don’t berate fish, and ask for a table change if you don’t like your table.
