i think something we've had that's been missing from the last iteration is that everyone spent time giving humorous writeups on their reasons for each proposed wager - i think it both helped with the quality control and made it so we didn't mind the losers because it was a narrative we could all get behind rather than a proposal we voted on despite not quite understanding

Probably too late to get 8 ayes, but I'd like to propose that we take Conclave to win Best Picture tonight based on an article written by our own beloved Alex Jacobs. +225 at DK, +260 at FD.
I haven't seen Conclave yet, but I have seen Anora, the favorite. It was good. Funny and great titties, but is a titty movie really going to win Best Picture? I don't think so.
Anora is also likely to suffer from general anti Russian sentiment among the mostly liberal voters. Aye to Conclave.
