Diamond in a Day - CET Total Rewards

Diamond in a Day - CET Total Rewards

Is it still possible to get Diamond in a Day?

I have read about it in the past, just curious.

Anyone here have real life experience that drinks redeem locations have actually changed?

They did take steps to stop the abuse, they cut those abusers completely off. There are consequences to excessively abusing a park like that.

I 100% support and agree. And appreciative the bar perk is still in place.

They changed the perk for everyone, not just the abusers. I don’t think they had to do that and it will hurt them.

Sorry for the basic question, I did try to find this info out but can't seem to navigate the language. Trying to figure out how multiplier days work with tier bonuses.

So if I earn 200 TC on a 5x day, does that now give me 5x so 1000, plus I earn the 1000 TC bonus? Or would only earn the bonus if I earn actual 1000, so that would mean that day I earn 6000 total (1000 x 5 plus the 1000 bonus)?

Evaluating if a multiplier day visit is worth a run at Diamond since Wyndham hosed me on the business card match.

No. Daily bonuses are usually awarded within a couple days. Multiplier bonuses can take weeks.

Thanks, kind of figured that was the case. Appreciate it!

Yeah I know and while I guess they could try and isolate they decided to do away with whole thing. Seems reasonable to me. Think everyone learned back in kindergarten that the actions of a few can impact everyone. Such is life. But now the abusers get cut off completely from their Fijis or whatever.

People are free to go to Sahara and get the Camel Card Rewards and free hoodie. I don’t think many will though.

It’s not a question of what’s reasonable. It’s a question of business. They are driving their best customers away by treating them like their worst customers. Not a good strategy.

And yes, people can do whatever they want.

I don’t see what the big deal is with the stupid free waters. If you have a Diamond card, you can get basically unlimited free bottles of water at the Diamond check-in at any Caesars property. If people are talking about bringing a bunch of big water bottles home, like wtf, you have water at home.

It wasn’t just waters. It was any drinks the stores. Or any drink at the cafes, including Starbucks.

How is it abuse to use a perk?

The real problem is they made it way too easy to get these tiers and realized it wasn't profitable, and are screwing the actually profitable customers at the same time.

I looked at my home water. It ain't Fiji.

I wish mine was easy. I would say my "free" waters cost me about $150 each.

I can see why this is a valuable perk for some.
But it sounded like all the stories I heard about people “abusing” the perk were just trying to get 4 waters at the end of every day.

Also, whenever I used the drink vouchers to get a free drink at the Caesars Starbucks, it took me half an hour to get a damn iced tea.
Whereas I could walk up to any bar in the casino an get a free fancy cocktail in less than 5 minutes. (And as far as I know, I still can.)

Lmao if there are are any people whose main motivation to get 25K tier credits was free H2O

Main purpose of drink vouchers is probably to get nice and boozed up and maybe go gamble like Vegas intended. Not to stockpile a Doomsday shelter or whatever they were doing

Yea I mean I got fiji's for my room when I was in a hotel that happen to sell them bc I sure as **** am not going to drink rancid nevada tap water. But the vast majority of my vouchers when I still had them went to alcohol.

Yea I can understand getting fijis for room but evidently too many people (including locals) were getting four a day.

So while it might hurt me slightly and I’ll have to float my own water or cappuccino sometime I don’t mind cutting off those people cold out of principle. They can go kill some brain cells like vouchers were intended to do.

I was in a 5/5/10 plo game at Wynn with some reg said he was debating going to Paris for his Fijis. I asked where he was staying and he told me he lived out there. How on this planet that's worth his time is beyond me- and I love sticking it to casinos. Vouchers being alcohol only actually makes a lot of sense from the casinos standpoint.

Agree, my read is that he wears skinny jeans, am I correct?

Screwing is too strong a word. But this.

And they did screw their own loyalty program up. If they were smart (and there isn’t a whole lot of evidence that they are) they would be working to scrap and re-invent the program. They would be looking to give their customers at all tiers things of value instead of taking them away. But I don’t see this. I just see more 7x or even 10x tier events than ever before.

It only makes sense to cut costs if the cost-cutting helps profitability. I don’t get the sense the former El Dorado leadership has a clue what they’re doing when it comes to running Vegas casinos.

And one doesn’t even have to follow an online chat forum to see this. Just ask a few Caesar’s employees. Or regular customers. Or investors.

Caesar’s revenue was down 2-3% last year while MGM, Wynn and Sands were all up 6-10% over the same period. CZR stock is down 75% over the last 3.5 years. I didn’t think the company was run particularly well before the acquisition. I guess they showed me and everyone else.

Lol it’s not really that big of a deal, it just might upset a dude whose pants are three sizes too small in Borg’s PLO game but that’s about it

It’s excessive behavior that most people were warned about as kids..,killing the golden goose, shearing the sheep instead of skinning it etc

So they got a lesson

No skinny jeans but he did have a fanny pack. And he's also the guy who will wait 5 hands to come in for free behind the button. Then he got mad when he found at at Wynn you still have to post in time games.

I get wanting to weed off crappy customers. Hell I'm a pretty crappy customer who has exploited them pretty well for free/cheap rooms over the years while giving them almost zero action.
They really should just make the vouchers valid when you're staying with them or earn a certain number of tier credits per day. Some low amount is fine.

Their entire business model just seems inconsistent. If you don't want poker players earning benefits then don't give tier credits for poker. That seems very simple. Giving them tier credits but then pulling earned benefits really makes no sense.

For a couple of years they were really going hard with the online sportsbook and giving out way too many tier credits for sports betting. If you bet sports in the live casino you would get 1 TC for every ten dollar bet. But online it was 1 TC for every five dollars of potential winnings. So if you bet 100 bucks -110 live you'd get 10 TC, online you'd get about 18. But if you bet 100 bucks on a +500, live you'd also get 10 TC but online you'd get 100 TC. And if you got a lot of TC online they were giving you all kinds of bonuses free rooms etc. Now they made the online and live TC earning the same (makes sense) and also don't look at TC earned online as valuable as those earned live.

And they keep adding more and more tier multipliers. If they don't want customers gaming the system and exploiting them stop making it easier then complaining when it happens and pissing off a ton of your customers in the process.

I don’t really hear them complaining that much, just got annoyed at inventory situation and pulled the plug on all it. Sure they could have done something intermediate but why bother.

Poker players get a pretty good deal from program, if you need them 34 TC per hour is a good rate. Also get TC from wsop play. Can buy into events with reward credits.

I’ve listened to the various rants carefully, and have decided to still give Caesars and their rewards card my business and not jump ship to Sahara, Station Casinos, or anything like that.

The biggest issue I have with CET and the multipliers are that they are typically available in their Las Vegas properties only. The Caesar's properties outside of LV seldom or ever provide the opportunity of a "10 X multiplier" and they seem to run quite frequently in LV. It may be a competition issue but it certainly makes it difficult to maintain a higher level card status for us Non Nevada people.

Is that for all limits? Not bad...

.

They have no clue on the East Coast either-I live on Long Island and they sent me (and my wife) an offer for flights from Albany to Atlantic City. We can drive to AC easier than driving to Albany
