Exclusive: Multi-State Online Poker in Pennsylvania on Track for Spring Launch, Says Regulator
Anyone running into issues where the site just randomly crashes when you go to open tables?
Exclusive: Multi-State Online Poker in Pennsylvania on Track for Spring Launch, Says Regulatorhttps://pokerfuse.com/news/industry/2219...
Let's ensure that every April/May is a total **** fest lol. The WSOP online traffic levels were the worst last year by far.... that i can remember going back to the beginning because of the absolute INSANELY HORRIFIC timing and planning of rolling out the platform when they did.
I can see this going through and them rolling out a huge update to integrate PA like mid-May. 😀. Just in time 😀.
Pennsylvania to Join Multi-State-Internet Gaming Agreement Before the End of April, Says Regulator
“We continue to work internally and with online poker operators to get the shared liquidity market up sometime in April. The agreement would, of course, be a signed prior to that launch.”
I'm stuck on loading screen with spinning white circle after update.
Tried reinstalling, rebooting, cleaning appdata and registry, no luck.
Anyone else experiencing this?
After all the issues I experienced yesterday post-update, I logged on again last night and today. Both sessions, I had no issues. In fact, it's been running smoother than pre-update. I'm not missing card strike either at 6-max. I can't comment on animations since I've had them disabled since shortly after the new software came out. Sometimes, I wonder how many things you guys are throwing at me lol.
This update also finally fixed the rewards redeeming bug for me. In the past I would always have to click the "personal details" page first or the bonus redeem page would never work properly. Now I can just go straight to the rewards/bonus page.
My old laptop worked fine with old software, worked fine with new software until after one of the updates over the summer. Since that update it's become extremely laggy, WSOP said it was my connection or laptop. So i upgraded my connection, that did not work. I upgraded my computer and that did not work.I now play one tournament at a timeI went from playing 100+ MTT's a mont
Holy **** I can multi table with no lag after this update
I played for my first time since the update. It crashed more often than it ever has before. Was playing 5-6 cash tables. Would randomly crash, then every time I reopened the app it would crash immediately, unless I opened it on my phone and closed out of tables. Also, it would crash nearly every time I tried to join a waitlist.
It was unreal, I don’t understand how you update your software and make it worse. The lobby sizing is horrible too. I like to multi table tournaments, but I don’t think I’m gonna do that because the crashing issues affect you so much worse in tourneys.
Is it confirmed that the crashing issues do not happen on Mac? If so, I’m thinking about getting a cheap used one just for poker purposes.

Article about the rake increases
I try not to pile on the update hate bandwagons as it seems like every update, no matter how good or bad it is gets a lot of people freaking out here. That said, I've been getting crashes about once an hour since the most recent update and before this update I had 0 crashes for at least 6 months.
I have it set to run as administrator which was one thing I had to do after a previous update that fixed a crashing issue. But doesn't seem to help with this one. Really at a loss of what to do to fix it. Its not quite to the point where its unplayable but it sure is annoying.

Article about the rake increases
The article isn't accurate FWIW, in case anyone cares.
There are still 20BB min buy tables (e.g. HU PLO) and there are still 40BB min buy tables (e.g. PLO/8).
These may be the only examples of this.... I didn't care to explore much further, but then again i'm not the one who wrote the article .... LOL.
I'm not sure if the information was simply spoon fed by WSOP and/or if the author didn't really do any due diligence/fact checking. In any case, my focus is less on the article as it is on the inconsistency and inefficiency with the operator... who finds it hard to have a plan that makes any sense across the entire platform at any point.
Crashed only once on MAC and PC since the update then ran smoothly afterwards.
If WSOP/GG going to increase the rake and make it more Rec friendly. Bring back the CHAT! You can block it on MTT for ICM reasoning etc.. but bring it back on cash tables.

Thanks for catching that! I’ve updated the article to reflect the correction. You’re right—I should have fact-checked more thoroughly. I did check the NLHE and PLO cash game lobby but overlooked the HU PLO and PLO8 tables.

No worries at all. Thanks for being present here... and taking the feedback/replying. I appreciate that. Not sure if you have an information channel/exchange with someone/anyone at WSOP.com, but if you do, it certainly would be helpful to get some feedback on any of the other post-update issues (lack of animations etc.) and the lack of consistency in buy-in amount if you see fit. Thanks again.

I'm on a MAC. Never crashed even once for a year before the update.... have crashed at least once/session over the past week. I mean it's not the end of the world. It reboots right away... and log-in instantly and repopulates open tables... but it's a pain in the ass and seems strange that it literally never happened even once until after the update, lol.

Just to clarify, no one from WSOP 'spoon fed' us for this article. However, I have passed your message along to someone at WSOP. Thanks!

No worries.. and thank you for passing the information along. The channels that you have are almost assuredly way more effective than the ones we (as customers) have.
The clarification is helpful... and I can appreciate your defensiveness if you've worked hard on the article.
But, with respect... just so you understand where I am coming from (and I think most regs would share my message).... my message was accurate and intentional.
The level of cronyism and incompetence that exists within the corporate structure there is pervasive. I don't know you or the intent behind the article at all. If it's simply trying your best to provide the most accurate information possible to the community re: the industry in general.... that's awesome and I applaud you.
However, my assumption typically (not because of you... but because of who/what you wrote about) is that these pieces are self-serving because they're typically inaccurate and largely congratulatory and promotional. I spend close to 16 hours/day on the site for years now. As with most regulars, we know more about the site function and have a more competent background in poker operation (and in some cases software operation) than the "operator" themself.... and when this information is "disseminated" its almost always inaccurate.
When the site first opened years ago.... they at least had a rep themselves here to attempt to answer any questions. That stopped predictably. A lot of us didn't play on WSOP for a long time because there was another option with a way more engaged operator who, in spite of failing, at least attempted to engage with customers and knew infinitely more about the online industry (and presumably their own software and operations) then the individuals at WSOP.
In any case, if you're collateral damage in this, my apologies. I'm sorry you got dragged into this all.... and i appreciate your contribution.... and hope you can appreciate my explanation.
Crashing every session now on Windows 10
Is the lobby obscenely huge for everyone else now?
Yes it is, and it can't be resized. I also can only resize tables on the laptop part of my two screen set up. If I try to resize a table on the monitor side, it will automatically balloon to being enormous and won't resize unless I move it back to the laptop side. The dialog boxes that pop up when you a bust a tournament are huge too - basically the same size as my ACR tables.
The lobby also doesn't auto refresh any more for me - I have to click on another category of games and back in order for it to refresh. If I open up a tournament lobby, the information will be current, but other than that the lobby stays frozen in time from whenever I logged in.
Despite everything being enormous now, they somehow made the tournament info in the top left corner harder to read.
I have only disconnected once since the update, on Windows 11.
I've also noticed that my tags are no longer changing colors, so I guess they did fix something?
Re: Crashes
Just FYI in case this helps anyone--
I am on a MAC... Sonoma 14.5. I crash 100% of the time in only ONE instance:
1. Seated at a table
2. Attempt to open any table that I am seated at FROM THE LOBBY
3. Crash
This is 100% of the time and 100% replicatable. I've passed this along to them and was told it was escalated and asked to provide a screeshot, LOL.
Yeah, sorry, can't do that LMAO... please just escalate this... they'll understand why.
