I rarely watch basketball any more which is why I'm posting this question here instead of elsewhere. How in the hell is ESPN's Gamecast 30 seconds ahead of the network broadcast??? That is just bullshit.

I suspect it's a lag with your provider. If you stream, or get satellite, sometimes the difference in moving the data around is noticeable.

Hitting a server for a relatively small amount of data is fast.

No, it's a standard delay for live tv. They don't want air some guy running on the court helicoptering his dong uninterrupted. It's noticeable in live betting apps too.
