Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.

I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.

Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

True, but a couple rooms near San Antonio or some other major Texas city got busted in the last year or so. Remember seeing it on PokerNews.

It’s all in a grey enough area that if you get the wrong officer/sheriff/whatever some stuff will go down.

Or if the poker room missed a payment to the cops.

I was talking to a Vegas strip club manager while I was outside waiting for a cab, and we got to talking. It was a place that allowed things they shouldn't, but it would be very easy to catch them if the cops wanted to. I said something like I was surprised they never got caught and he told me the monthly payoff was 20 grand. I expressed my surprise and he said it was well worth it. Alas, a few years later there was apparently a new sheriff in town, literally, and the place was nowhere near as much fun as it used to be.

While I don't disagree with you, cutting the deck is effectively worthless. If the deck is sorted, all you need to do is look at the first card you are dealt, and you will know the entire order of the deck. I have even seen an app created and connected to the Deckmate to do just that. You can also sort the deck so that no matter where the cut is, a specific position will always win no m....

It's not close to worthless. It's still better than not cutting.

A place that doesn't care about game integrity at all isn't worth playing at.

Why are they even using burn cards. 3 burn cards wastes way more time than cutting the deck.

Do I think the room itself would set up seat 3? No. But if they care so little about game integrity they don't cut the deck I'm sure shady employees could set people up pretty easily.

I missed out on this club, unfortunately I was wasting time and tired at night after trying to earn tier points and watching nomadic videos.

is that the one who scammed you for $60K

Nope. That was a dealer not a waitress and it was $80k.

That's a sick runout. Link to the full story?

So the cardroom, which just prints money like crazy, is going to risk their license and prison time to set up Seat 3, who they have no idea who it's going to be?

Good job at completely missing the point.

It's not about whether the casino would or wouldn't cheat, it's about the optics. It's a cheap and effective measure to protect the games image. A poker game running without a cut or cut card looks dodgy as ****

And yes many dealer/player combos have been busted for cheating/fraud in casinos. If money can be made from cheating you can bet it will eventually take place. This has sadly been borne out repeatedly in the Livestream arena.

A commenter on today's ELD video reports Harrah's in Florida has been giving out weekly WAWA coupons.

Link?

I’ll be at Harrahs FL this weekend!

The only danger is from the shuffler being rigged, and there's almost no way to ensure the benefit of the cheat to a specific player. There's actually more chance of cheating the more deck manipulation there is. There's less chance of a deck being rigged when there's no cut.

Less risk if no human hands touch it?

do you seriously believe that a guy that's constantly broke and was begging for people to send him money on this thread ever had 80k to give away?

At the time this happened I was making $65k a year at my job and poker was booming. It was $80k over 5 years basically. Most of it was from poker profits. This was also 9+ years ago. Things change.

I know guys who can merely touch the deck with one finger and the Jack of Spades will jump out of the deck and spit cider in your ear.

I love tricks. That one sounds neat. I have one I call the floating cyclops but mostly use that at bachelorette parties .

Trooper is shutting down the candy operation for good. Last batches of candy are up for sale.

Maybe they will just take the summer off?

I don’t know about their margins/profits, but they made some good candy.

What’s next for the troopers? No poker or candy?

Hard to sell stuff that melts during the summer in 100 degree heat.

Another big fat L for Timmy.

He sent out an email. He said the swamp cooler is back on and they can’t make candy anymore. They made a bunch to stockpile before shutting down the commercial kitchen. He also said it is a permanent shutdown and will be making a YouTube video in a few days

This just can't be true?
Can you copy and paste some of the email?

Also: If Trooper thinks he's walking away from that lease without repercussions, he will be sadly mistaken.

Anyone in Food&Bev is unionized in Vegas, which is why you see many elderly people making very good wages, many F&B far above min wage, they struck the week before superbowl 24 and deal was negotiated and accepted within 24hrs. I have worked with some old ladies that do very well, and they have territories that cannot be encroached upon or taken from them without union recourse lol.

Poker dealers at most casinos in vegas make a few cents above $12/hr., its not flat in most cases. You can pull down $42.xx/hr in NLHE tourneys and $52.xx/hr in Mix tourneys in vegas. Cash is not as good, however there are many degen dealers who would rather walk away from an 8/hr shift and drink up cash tips or hit the machines. Thats the biggest difference I see between the two groups, live game dealers are going to spend cash daily within the casino in some form, and tourney dealers budget better for the biweekly check.

Houston card rooms aren’t going anywhere, after the clown show happened with the first public one that they shut down. It’s not worth the risk to the Harris county DA.

Now this post from last week makes a lot more sense, Trooper will be back to the poker grind. He will have a lot of stale candy to try to sell at the tables. Can he get his old spot back at Westgate?

I wonder did LT put all that equipment on her CC or it was lease to own or just flat-out rental. I guess since it was new, they bought it.

He can probably get out of the lease because of the swamp cooler situation, but that is part his fault also. Maybe 1 year is almost up and that was the initial lease?

Just in time to fleece his viewers out of a Main Event seat this summer.
