I don’t take differences of opinion on food to be the same as differences of opinion on morality, but even if I did I still don’t see the strength of the argument. Obviously someone’s difference of opinion on food isn’t the same effect as disliking certain races, at least that seems obvious to me absent a defeater. With food they can just appeal to certain factors out of their

difference of opinion on food is not the same but they are still difference of opinion. There is no reason to have any deep analysis on this.

Er, no you didn't. You joined in with the celebrations when one of them killed the protestor.

I don't remember this. Why do you bring up things that happened 7 years ago? Who I was then isn't who I am now. At least I didn't celebrate the deaths of Israelis on Oct 7th.

You've officially had your 'bro' privileges revoked.

You don't understand how anti semitism affects others.

You're very lucky coordi is mod.

Why? Do you like cancelling people because they have a different opinion? A different way of thinking about things?

You do remember it because you were banned from this forum for it.

In what ways would you say your views have changed since then, and what caused those changes? Maybe you have some use as a case study.

by mongidig m

What exactly makes me "horrific"?

Mongo, when your whole shtick is "it's okay for people to hate minorities," you can't really be mad when people decide they don't like you.

Mong thinks he's a decent person while everyone else thinks he is an abject moron with all the intelligence, sophistication, charm, wit and charisma of a house brick. Don't see the problem, seems like just a difference of opinion to me.

The political discourse is stuck at the lowest level with race because too many are unwilling to see culture as more relevant.

As long as the discourse is stuck at race, then no lasting progress can be made.

The idea that everyone is equal is deeply true, but it’s an aspirational truth.

Some cultures are less bad than others and people are a byproduct of their culture.

Counterintuitively, accepting this harsh reality is the path toward actualizing the aspirational truth of equality.

Here is gonna be the hard part. Give me an example where I said it was ok to hate minorities.

Many desperately try to avoid culture by focusing on class and economics, but reality is structured in a way that it acts as a forcing function back toward culture.

Your vision for a better economic system will largely be rejected by reality and can only, at best, have temporary, cosmetic impact.

We all must accept and surrender to this eventually.

Technological advancement is a Siren, ultimately with the purpose of procrastination and distraction from rightly focusing on culture at the individual level.

Solving culture at the level of self is the whole game. Once you solve it for yourself, then you can scale it. Of course, this project is full of self deception as well.

This you?

If somebody wants to think bad thoughts about certain groups of people let them. I think being overly concerned about "racism" is a waste of time. People are gonna do what they do and think what they think.

Mongs, if people want to think bad thoughts about you as a person, you shouldn't be overly concerned, that's a waste of time. Can't we have a difference of opinion here?

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion as long as it's not a negative opinion of me or a group I identify with, then it becomes problematic.

Some think that entrenching and tying people to their bad views is important.

It's terrible for progress but much more fun. It's one of the major problems with social media.

Others agree with mongi, wil, bundy and tooth that all opinions are valid to some extent and should be listened to sympathetically.

Imagine their surprise when the forum moderated along these lines exploded in racism.

The relation between gastronomic facts and moral facts is actually a highly debated topic in contemporary philosophy. Gastronomic facts is a common argument against companions in guilt arguments and in favor of moral subjectivism.

and diet is a religious matter as well and a heavily debated one.

not to mention the extremely violent political debate about eating meat, with the radical left thinking that kills the planet and normal people thinking it doesn't

Yawn. You are still here? You seem worried that Mondgig is a contender for your “biggest racist” crown?

Maybe you can give an example of my "racism" since no one else has been able or willing to. Here's the thing, If what I said is true it don't count.

I'm looking forward to an argument that amounts to "I'm not racist because X group is really that terrible."

I a,m pretty sure your answer to this question will be illustrative of my point, which is why you ignored it.
