Kansas also left potatoes for ELD and thus today we see ELD make from scratch, including butter and milk, the restroom style potato mashed slurry on the most recent episode of Nomadic Cooking with ELD.

A nontraditional utensil is devised by ELD by using a corn can concoct the slurry.

Another very nasty dish to follow up yesterdays steak carcrash. Rice is approaching peak content on a daily basis now,its almost too much!

Kansaas left 1 potato, and Rice didnt buy just 1 more himself but TWO-what a baller.

Diesel loses over pair vs two pair, set vs straight and top pair vs two pair and says he's only stuck $75. Lol.

He's trending towards betting $10 on the flop and then saying "Same bet" on the turn to lower his variance even more. How freaking nitty do you have to be to lose three hands where you got to the river and not be stuck at least a buy in?

Oh never mind. I'm sure he won tons of other pots without showdown using aggression and position.

I just checked their old vlogs. It's been about 7 months so I guess they are breaking their lease or they went maybe 6 month lease then month to month?

Surprised they lasted this long honestly. It's just a horrible business plan. Making product that retails for less than $20, requires quite a bit of labor and time while being limited by the amount of supply you can make since it's a two person operation.

They were just bleeding cash left and right. Buying brand new equipment. All the inspecti

Also Koshka hitting bullseye once again. Trooper will die before he is admitting failure on anything, his coping style is to blame everyone and anything else but himself-absolute classic.

Genuinely wonder what his next move will be, i think hes going to do a vegas matt slot vlog t

If he goes back to poker, he will not do well, that ship has sailed, theres no world in which he can win enough, but maybe just vlog and get by for a while.

The candy game has done alot of damage to his vlog, he is hardly getting any views. WSOP is coming up though, could be a time to build but of course its trooper, he will step on a rake somehow

Will be here to watch whatever happens, will be glad to

He needs to follow Diesel's blueprint. Get a job dealing poker. From everything I've heard about his dealing skills, he's solid. People that know him from the vlogs will tip extra. And according to Diesel, cause of his YouTube celebrity status, he'll bring in extra tourney entries.

As I've said before, it's where low limit NL poker "pros" seat change to eventually, the dealer chair.

Diesel is pretty smart to let milk come up to room temp by just letting it sit out. No idea how he got food poisoning earlier in the week.

I feel we need the backstory on how ELD obtained the second and third potatoes. Such as did ELD barter for them or possibly recover them from the In and Out dumpster which rejected them during the fries making process? Or did he negotiate a discount for a blemished potato rejected from the Rock N Potato restaurant next to the M and M store? This is probably newsletter only content.

What if Trooper is just using the excuse of the swamp cooler as to why the business failed? While it sure contributed at the commercial kitchen, he got an evaporator last year and pretty much solved the problem with humidity. So why would the swamp cooler be an issue now?

I mean they seemed to sell product at the farmer's markets, in person delivery and I'm sure black market internet sales before they moved into the kitchen. Why not go back to that? Less headaches when you can just make it at

It's pretty clear the swamp cooler was just an out for them. You can see neither of them really wanted to do it anymore. In the same video Trooper said he doesn't want to do markets in 110F heat - not sure how else he expected to sell product during the upcoming summer, considering they had no wholesale/retail strategy.

People like Trooper walk the planet thinking they're smarter than the average person. Most never put that to the test to try to make something bigger than themselves. They never risk failure and instead live their lives thinking they're superior and use that belief as a warm blanket that comforts their psyche whenever life presents them with unmistakable evidence to the contrary. Kudos to Trooper putting himself on the line and giving it a try.

This is a solid post, but i wanna give some pushback to the kudos about giving it a try. Yes, i agree the biggest losers/clowns are the ones that never have the balls to take some risks in life, and always knows the best sitting on the sideline while they talk shyt about the people that are going for it in life even though it means failing in some instances.

What i think people have the problems with regarding Trooper is the thing you mention about thinking they are the smartest person ever to walk this earth. They know everything better than the average person, and they live for the "me against the world" narrative.

Personally i would have been willing to give alot more kudos to Trooper for putting himself out there if he also did this and not just driving at lightening speed straight ahead hitting the brick wall:

1) Didnt die with his stubornness and actually listening to feedback from others. The amount of rookie mistakes they have done with this candy hustle is off the charts, some of it pretty laughable to be honest. Like shopping ingredients directly at Costco,or paying 4K just for a booth at Enchant wich seems like a desperate move to me in order to just gamble for this to pay off or their candy to break through at the event.

Sure,we could give Trooper kudos if he was trying to sell icecream in the coldest city in the world that averages negative 40 degrees, but it would be even more admirable if they did more to set themself up for success and doing proper research would likely be telling them this is a bad idea.

2)Admitting failure when they are calling it quits. Admit that they did alot of mistakes, admit that they didnt listen enough to others, admit that this business wasnt scalable the way they told themself and last but not least dont blame everything else but themself.

This is sage advice, and it will revive Trooper's youtube channel.
That said, Trooper has in the past, vowed to never work for 'the man' again.

Failure for many people would come with some fairly drastic consequences if, for example, they had given up their job to go out on their own. Trooper didn't really have anything to lose, especially so if the whole operation was being funded somehow by his partner or her family.

And now with the sale of the equipment it is going to fund Troopers gambling addiction.

When he dealt at my table, he was excellent.

Friendly and earned superior tips.

The swamp cooler is a MacGuffin. They were not making money when it wasn't on.

He probably figured out that if he wanted to deduct rent, he had to file a tax return and pay SS taxes on earnings.

Yep, relationships mean nothing to T.

If she kicks him out, then there are always the tunnels.

I suppose if you look at it this way, Trooper's failure, for him anyways, is as mild as they come.

Poopers video -- "what people don't understand about running a commercial candy kitchen . . ." Um, seems like Pooper was the one who didn't understand before he sunk time and money into the current location . . .

Pooper admits he learned a lot through the process. Hopefully, the main lesson was to do your due diligence before you dive in.... Know the process . . . know the margins . . . understand scalability.... This ain't selling pencils and candy in grade school....

Do you think the troopers collected and paid sales tax on the sale of their gourmet marshmallows? I wonder if they even kept any records of cogs and sales, daily P&L. I'm sure they ran it like a lemonade stand.

Trooper said next up is something he is excited about.

So it isn't dealing, which should be his focus until mid July. He could easily make $15k.

Where did LT get all her money? Did I miss something here?

Rice's potatoes looked awful. People actually leave the skin on for mashed potatoes? They just looked gross.

Between youtube and his Westgate thing, he used to do pretty well. Lived in a luxury apartment and leased a new car every few years. Now he doesn't have either of those things. He can't even collect unemployment.

Egads, sounds like a nightmare. I will NOT watch that video.

It is a mystery. Buffets hardly ever have raw potatoes.

Most people that really ARE smarter than the average person would put some thought into it, and realize that a specific plan is doomed to failure. The smart person would add up the costs of ingredients, the costs of sales (fees, gas to venues, etc) and conclude the likely profits are not worth the labor needed. Not Trooper, he went out and physically did it. Even he should have concluded after the first batch that it was a losing proposition. But he was like the business that loses money on every item sold, and hoped to make it up on volume.

It's one thing to try, fail and learn from it. It's another to be in your 50s, fail over and over again while learning nothing, refuse advice from everyone else, think you're smart than everything and then blame the world for your failures.

This nonsense never even had a real upside. All he did was buy himself a sub minimum wage job because he didn't want to work for the man. "I'm my own boss" and he slams into the wall.

I'm not surprised that this venture failed but I'm surprised that his ego allowed him to quit so soon.

I guess the landlord and swamp cooler are the enemies he made up that caused all of this and not that it was a poorly thought out plan making candy that was labor intensive and not scalable at all.

I give props to him and lady trooper for working their asses off but it seems like such a wasted effort for something that was doomed to fail.

Hopefully they apply what they learned here and the work ethic it took to a future endeavour and I'm sure they'll benefit from this expensive and hard life lesson.

They should keep making brittle as a side hustle and just deliver to his fans on the strip which I think would actually make them some good side money while working a normal job and having youtube on the side.

The pralines and marshmallows are ridiculously labor intensive and not worth the effort even if they are probably delicious.

The trooper is a good dealer and a vlogger, he could have a really decent life if he let go of his ego and just worked for the man and then vlogged on the side.
