[CoinPoker] - Official - Bringing the Game Back to Players
Hello Everyone,
This is the Official Thread of CoinPoker (previous thread)
This could eventually be in the pipeline, it's a common feedback from players. I'd assume the reason we don't have it already is they worry it will affect game liquidity, but our traffic is growing so that may not be the case anymore.
Passed it on to devs again now.
At first I really like that we have you as a coinpoker specialist and support here. That speaks really for the site. Also some ideas from a new coin poker cash game player:
- 7 max has the problem that you kinda lose overview, which might be the reason other sites are using 6max instead, I would prefer that as well.
- 5 card PLO still has very small cards, its quite exhausting over time
- could you add a feature to sit out on all tables combined, atm you have to click on every table, which is a bit annoying
- would be nice if it would remember the table size. I'm playing 6 to 8 tables now and am adding once in a while a new one, then I have to adjust the size all the time, even though I'm using the stacking option which is helpful
- what is also annoying when I'm adding a new table that you always have to check that it should buy in for the size I put in the settings already. That step isnt needed in my opinon.
Maybe I will add some points later but for now these are the things that I can tell after playing for 4 days. I think it's fine so far and you guys are doing a good job improving. The experience playing there could be much higher with some development and I'm looking forward to it. Not sure if I will continue playing in 4 weeks or wait a couple of months because we're not there yet. But as I've written it's ok now, so I will probably play next to my other regular site to get enough action.
Write now I think it's top 5 of the sites out there by layout and fun playing experience in my opinion, would love to see it top 3 or maybe even No 1 at some point. Good luck on your way!
^ Thanks, the PLO5 cards are supposed to be getting changed too asap, Mario is chasing it up and I will now too, and pass on the rest of the feedback.

can you answer my question above? thanks
Currently there's a fixed conversion rate set by coinpoker in the client, of 0.053651 USDT = 1 CHP, which is different from the rate you'll see on Google, e.g. on CoinMarketCap it says 0.04953 That pulls the figure from QuickSwap - there was an issue with CHP in December where liquidity was removed from QuickSwap and at the moment it's only possible to convert in the client. Pl
I'd say you're double dipping by charging above market rates for CHP and also taking a 5% fee. Plus, you don't really make it clear to your customers why we need two separate currencies to receive rakeback. And because of all the conversions, the rakeback does not equal your advertised percentage of 33%.
Your RNG never felt right but whatever, no one can prove it's rigged. You just have to trust the site, your article about your rng algorithm is only for halo effect, I know.
But you did something in the last month, now it's literally unplayable: bad beat after bad beat, almost always against the same lucky players, those players hit trips on the flop, straight/flush runner runner with crazy frequencies. In contrast for me in the last 100 flush draws, I hit the flush only 3 times LOL
Luckily I withdrew everything, it's impossible to win.

Unbelievable.
in November. It's probably a good idea that you've now decided to stop playing there.
Just for the record, there are some of us that might enjoy the 7 handed tables. I know there are some people that don't like it since they've devoted all their time studying 6max and an extra player slows down the action, but I think it is a cool twist that makes the site unique from others.
after the liquidity problem with CHP are there any news on a new coin or changes to the rackback system?

The cosmetic modding suggestion from above does in fact work!
I would love to submit a handful of color reskins of the newly added table that does look nice if they could be implemented!
Thinking things such as navy blue like above, grey, black, maroon, a darker green, and purple
Other misc. wishlist items that likely won't happen:
- Notes on players are full borders of the selected color instead of a tiny dot
- Better cash/mtt filters with custom stake ranges.
- Reverting 7max to 6max, don't think the "uniqueness" of 7max is interesting at all. If its' intent was to mitigate "studied" players' advantage...7h and 6h aren't that strategically different it just plays slower and tighter.
DriveHUD can be run on Mac using Boot Camp, which might be a hassle but on the other hand it's the most popular and smoothly working HUD for CoinPoker, based on lots of feedback here.

Unfortunately I haven't been given any news as soon as I do I will post it here.
To give a bit of a better reply myself, which the community does deserve, personally it seems since they decided to apply a fixed price to CHP - 0.053651 - basically making it a stablecoin, they've decided it's not now an urgent priority. As that is the approximate level the crash began from. So arguably this is a sort of resolution for players - obviously I understand many players won't be happy with that, just my personal opinion of what they're thinking.

Feel free to send in DM and I will pass it on, and that feedback yes has been brought up. Will bring it up again. Then we'll have some players wanting 7max again though, I can set up a Twitter poll to see what's more popular.

Plus, you don't really make it clear to your customers why we need two separate currencies to receive rakeback. And because of all the conversions, the rakeback does not equal your advertised percentage of 33%.
It's now been written prominently on the website, a note near the start and at the end explaining the effective rakeback percentage is 31.35% when factoring in the 5% fee. And a link to Discord, where this is often discussed and players generally do not consider it a scam, just a bit complicated. https://coinpoker.com/promotions/rakebac...
Making that distinction between effective rakeback %, what players actually can net profit, and how much of the rake in absolute terms is returned to the player - which takes place after paying the fee to buy CHP - is hopefully now more clear and transparent.
Players now essentially buy a stablecoin at a fixed rate and gradually 'trade it away' by playing at that rate, the market rate displayed on CoinMarketCap doesn't really exist in practice or affect today's players. As it's not possible to buy large amounts anymore given there is close to zero liquidity - if anyone tried to buy or sell a large amount, the price would wick, their order would get filled at a much worse price.
So it's not like CoinPoker is buying it now, or even able to, at a low price, and then selling it higher. They hold a controlling supply already as the creators of the token, and are selling it at the approximate rate they did before the liquidity issue and crash in November, frozen in time at that rate. And players can still earn significantly higher rakeback than other poker sites at 31.35%.

Here they all are:

Maroon

Navy

Orange

Replace "table_poker" with any of these images I posted, MAKING SURE it's renamed to table_poker while already having the original new green table skin selected, then open a table and you should have it replaced! There are some quirks where in some orderings of the steps it reverts but I got mine to work permanently.
Also @CoinPoker feel free to implement some/all of these as reskins of your new skin!
Replayer could use some work, give us a special final table background and some kind of incentive for table starters in cash games

But what’s the point seems like a long winded way of rakeback, just play and pay (and get rakeback) in USDT anything else is nonsensical and ******ed.

Speaking as a player I'd agree, and as you said before recs then wake up with money in their account after a loss. But from a poker / crypto casino perspective, how many just pay 33% flat rakeback nowadays while also having a good product, not many. There's usually some kind of catch.
Like Rollbit requiring people to hold RLB token to get rewards - CoinPoker also has a similar crypto futures betting type feature coming soon, hopefully that brings in some recs that then crossover into to poker. And some Polymarket style predictions markets in the sportsbook. I understand too that recreationals might not want to buy CHP - it's now easier though, they can buy in-client and it just gets traded away as they play. So they sort of addressed that recs won't want to use Quickswap or any DEX. Compared to before it's now less complicated and a 'new' stablecoin in a sense.
As played, the CHP ICO happened in 2017 and now they have, in Mario's words in a video he made 'inherited' a token still valued in the millions of $. So their options are to use that, bridge to a new token, or render it worthless by switching to flat rakeback. Just my personal opinion. They're aware some players don't like CHP as I've passed on all the feedback here, some don't mind it at all though.
Is there an option to hide your balance in the lobby?
We should create a CHP/USDT swap thread and set the rate at a fixed .93
$100 usdt = 1770 CHP.
Send someone 1770 CHIP, you receive $93 USDT
And to get the ball rolling, I have 3540 CHIP ready to swap for $186 USDT!

Thanks for the great follow up!
Any update on the new VIP/rakeback system? Not a fan of the current setup with CHP coins.
