What's the deal with sandwiches?

Eggs had their day in the sun, and cereal already made it's splash. Now it's time to celebrate an old standby, the sandw

how sweet was that VR? looks like the pineapple had a solid cook to it

The pineapple I brushed with melted salted butter to add a little extra shine and flavor. The chutney is a mix of sweet and tangy and spicy so it gave it a bit of a kick and worked well with the pineapple, and the brie was pretty pungent (I got a Very Large Brie from CostCo that I've been working my way through.) So overall it wasn't too sweet.

Mainly I'm looking for ways to use the chutney because, without trying to brag, it turned out amazing.

I guess I won't save you any burger then.morningstar farms veggie burger topped with tomato ginger chutney, grilled pineapple slice, and brie cheese:

It was mostly about the dumb reels and tiktoks 😉. Looks good even if I'd prefer a different patty. Only frozen veg meat replacement product I've really liked are the morningstar corn dogs.

Treated myself to a midnight snack in honor of the Stars win over the Avalanche.

pretty sure no other picture can ever make me waive a bowl of campbells tomato soup away quite like this one from schu the ephemera collector

Basically MSchu, you should tell your wife that the fear the animals experience while being abused makes them taste better.

It’s simple science.

What the ****? That is wild, McLovin.

I have heard that before... something to do with endorphins

It’s literally the opposite.

Anyway, I just thought that was pretty unhinged for McLovin to type out.

Plants feel pain too. People just don’t care.

That's probably why stuff that gets cooked alive tastes bad to me.

Yeah, Lobster is disgusting.

What’s the appeal? Everyone dips it in butter. So you’re just tasting the butter.

I’ve never tried, but I imagine Bounty paper towels dipped in butter wouldn’t taste bad.

I'll read the trip report whenever you write it.

Agree on the lobster. Not a seafood person, but when I had the chance, did not understand the hype. Or crab legs either.

Good crab like dungeness or king doesn't really need butter. **** snow crab on a buffet, sure. Also the way hk and Singapore cook crab is far superior as a whole to how we do in the states. Shits delicious with back pepper, chili sauce, curry, or chilies and garlic.

Crab cakes and crab rolls are also very very good as are soft shell crab sandwiches. Of those only the crab roll is going to have a butter flavor if you aren't doing mayo style.

Things change after you realize lobsters are sea bugs.

This...

Nah. Crawfish have been called mudbugs as long as I can remember, and them little sumbitches are delicious. A lot of effort, but delicious!

cockroaches of the sea...

cockroaches of the sea...

Cockroaches are edible. Good source of protein and fiber.

i will tolerate lobster slander, but no slander of bivalves to be allowed

That's weird, because I was just looking over my local seafood house's menu, and I kept fixating on the oysters.

I was also strongly considering a crawfish platter takeout from Pappadeaux. Even if it were spelled correctly.

In keeping with the thread, I wouldn't turn down a fried oyster po'boy.
