2025 WSOP!!
I know itβs early and normally Iβm not excited about WSOP this soon after but dang it, Iβm itching to go back already!

We are about 30 days away from the start of WSOP.
And still no online registration !!
February visitor volume down 12% and international traffic at the airport is down 19.6%. MGM laying off employees left and right.
I think it will be pretty ugly. Like 1-2 hour wait maybe. I would recommend registering online and printing your ticket at the kiosks, but I'm not sure you can do that without first getting verified. My recollection is that you can't print tickets from the kiosks without being verified through the registration line once. After the initial verification, it's easy. Maybe I'm wron
The verification line is not the same as the tourney buy-in line. Canβt say what that will look like. But needless to say, showing up an hour before a mega field event is not ideal.

If you look at all the big LV casino operators, their stocks are down 10%+ over the last year. Poor management, reduction in demand after the post-covid boom and now macro-economic uncertainty are to blame.
I’ve been going to Vegas for nearly 20 years. I have seen the shift away from a town mostly dependent on gaming to one mostly dependent on entertainment. The shift absolutely makes sense. But if you’re going to be an entertainment destination, then customer service is paramount. We’ve all seen big erosions in customer service everywhere, not just Vegas. But I feel like it’s been particularly pronounced there. The companies are run by bean counters. When the town was mainly dependent on gaming, they had an addicted and captive customer base. But people looking to be entertained have choices and will not be as tolerant of poor service. Vegas needs to learn this lesson.
Anyhow, back to the WSOP….
I am going to be VERY curious what happens in years to come. After the deal with GG, Caesar’s has the right to hold the event for many years. I don’t think that means they HAVE to hold the event. And who’s even to say GG is going to be around for a long time. I don’t get the sense online poker sites are long-lived. I believe as long as poker is popular (and I have seen nothing but an increase in popularity the last few years), I think there will always be a WSOP. But it may not look anything like it has the last 10 years someday. And that day may be coming sooner rather than later.
You noticed that too. No worries. I predict that BravoPokerLive online registration for the WSOP will commence Friday May 2nd.
It does seem like they are cutting it close. Last year it was Friday May 3rd.

Yeah well. I hope Vegas gets the message. I am disgusted with the exorbitant resort, parking fees and the hotel rates that are jacked up for Friday and Saturday nights. And what's with the tax on top -- we have to pay for that stupid new football and soon baseball stadiums? What other fees are they going to dream up?
I was a little unsure how registering online worked but I will definitely look into that option if it will cut down on my wait time. Thanks!
Flight is on the day of the last Colossal flight? If not, reg that evening for the flight on the next day. If you're landing the day of the last flight, don't reg online, your stack will be blinded off until you take your seat.
I am traveling at present. After watching worldwide trend ,my confidence going down .
I was one of them who believed recent situation will not affect poker players ( Pro or Rec).
But even without political influence, I see people are avoiding to travel.
Hotels, Air tickets and Air BNB everywhere on decline.
So WSOP attendance may be flat or little down this year
I've read and believe it will be down 5% at a minimum.
Foreign attendance down >20% is a given.
I will not be shocked if overall attendance is down >12%.
A lot of people are scared to spend money, getting ready for inflation and the recession.

Getting ready for inflation? Itβs been here for several years. And itβs finally catching up to people.
I've been rooting for robust WSOP attendance this year but I do have to mention that local enthusiasm seems to be waning. We have a huge poker room here in the Scottsdale area. Years ago it wasn't unusual to see last Saturday tournament fields exceed 400. Standby lines would wrap around 2 walls of the room. These days it is more normal to see 250, if that.

I'm inferring that it'll be wsop+ app, and no more Bravo app?

I wonder if that's still true if you haven't verified yet. It may be that your registration is in a pending state until you verify, and you don't get a seat assignment until then. I wouldn't risk it though.
To answer the OP's other question, you're basically correct on the process, with the exception that they will print your seat assignment for you when you do ID verification. You'll only need the kiosks for any subsequent event registrations.
Of course, depending on how far into the tournament you get your ID verification, you might not end up getting an actual seat assignment, you might be directed to the late/re-entry line as they'll have transitioned from adding additional tables for new entrants to filling seats vacated by busted players. That line can get pretty long in the middle of the day, but from what I've seen it does seem to move fairly quickly. I've never stood in it myself, as I've never registered that late nor reentered an event.

Nah, that link isn't going to a registration page.
I still think BravoPokerLive is going live this Friday.

That doesn't make sense - Clark County Department of Aviation reported Tuesday data below international flights up 4.9% first 3 months.
For the first quarter of 2025, passenger numbers are down 3.7 percent to 13.2 million arrivals and departures with domestic travel most responsible for the decline. For the first three months of the year, domestic passenger traffic is down 4.3 percent to 12.1 million, while international is up 4.9 percent to 920,286, with Aeromexico, Vivaaerobus and Korean Airlines up by double-digit percentages.

It's the Vegas cycle. They keep raising prices and the suckers keep paying it. The casinos won't stop until there's a business downturn. Then they will drop prices. A little.
Hi all!
I already visited Vegas 3-4 times with friends and usually my poker focus was on cash game while this year I would like to concentrate more on tournaments and try both WSOP events and tourney in other casinos.
In order to avoid problems at the border I would like to stay under the 10K cash and also try to limit/avoid the use of ATM as usually costs are quite high and exchange rate not so good
Therefore I wanted to register for the 3-4 WSOP events I want to do already online making a wire transfer on Bravo Poker but the system is for me not really 100% clear (maybe they will explain better when it will be open): I understood first I need a Ceasar reward card (this is done, living in Switzerland I could do it online), then, once I wire transfer on Bravo, can I register for the tourney already in mid-May for example?
I read many time that a personal verification is needed but this would not be very practical for who doesn’t live in Vegas I assume, or I didn’t understand and the identification is only needed for you to then get you tickets/seat?
In case I managed to register but then I cannot play (for example making day 2 of the Monster Stack and not play the Salute) may I unregister online or directly there? (this I guess is possible but if someone has experience please let me know)
For tournament in other casino like Wynn and Venetian I guess the only way is cash on the spot or there is also there some possibility to use online payment?
EDIT: I just read in another post right now that apparently only the WSOP app will be used and not anymore Bravopoker....
Is this the first time they've had ACH transactions? Much better than credit cards. OTOH it also makes it much easier to empty your bank account.
Looks like the WSOP+ app will be in use this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Any idea if there will be an extra charge besides the $3 service fee for ACH or PayPal?
Would love to avoid the hassle of a using a bank check to fund TBIC and then cashing out the balance at the end.

Of note is this passage:
βAccording to the official information on the WSOP website, all players will need to register with the app to enter tournamentsβ
I, for one, have not seen this on the WSOP website. In fact, the usual link to registration info @ www.WSOP.com/registration just redirects to the home page.
Weβre less than a month away from the WSOP. Anyone else get the feeling they arenβt displaying their usual level of organization?
I was at the WSOP in Bahamas this past winter and I have to say the app is pretty great. I hope they have it work the same way they did in the Bahamas.
But once you have money in your account, it's very easy to use the app. You can see who's at your table and they update the chip counts on breaks. You can also take notes on players at your table. It really makes the experience a lot better, IMO.
I logged in to WSOP + and got verified too.
But I don’t see 2025 WSOP .!!
As soon as I log in , it shows me 2024 WSOP Paradise!!
