The "LOLCANADA" thread...again

So what's new?

I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet

Lol. You are asking for one of the many many reasons that poilievre acted like a timbit trump. All the bragging about crowd sizes absolutely count. And sure he calls it "liberal media" not "fake media" but the implication is the same and poilievre endlessly blasting our mainstream media is absolutely a trump move and stupid af.

If that's your best example of him being mini Trump then that's not why he lost the election.

by Shifty86

Do you have anything? There must be some examples of where he changed his policies to channel his inner Trump.

Fact is he did the opposite and moved to the center, same thing the previous leaders did. As I've said, liberal voters don't vote for conservatives pandering to them. Pierre has said this in interviews, but he did it anyway.

lol….
Hopefully the far right will keep believe this
Letting the center all by itself is a dream for the liberal .

I mean Polievre losing his own county (not viewed as far right) should hint at anyone with a decent rational brain.
Btw I’m sure supporting the truckers was a great idea to expressed not being grumpy trumpy far right qanon.
Anti mask
Anti vaccine
Anti climate
Anti BoC
Anti Canadian institutions
Anti science
Pro partisanship
Pro fake news
Pro disinformation
Etc…

Do you not know how to follow a conversation? I gave you an example in the first post - you cut it out and said SHOW ME AN EXAMPLE. I then gave a list of a dozen things. You ignored it. Lozen added yet more things - you denied it. I said lozen's example absolutely qualifies and you are THAT"S YOUR BEST EXAMPLE?!?!

At the end of the day, Poilievre managed to find a way to lose despite a 25 point advantage. And if your view is the super deep analysis that he doens't have a "winning energy" like trump and should have been more like trump, we'll that's on you (noting the dismal failure of your PPC buddies). If you want to learn the exact opposite lesson of reality the day after the entire left wing of the electorate banded together to prevent Poilievre over their own internecine preferences, that's on you.

Lol. WTF is "winning spirit". The made up self narratives of maple magas is amazing. Heck, knives out for your own people if they aren't perfectly trumpish is also a trumpish move.

Yes winning spirit. He had all the ammo against Trudeau. But when it shifted and the media was all in on connecting him to Trump he had nothing, proved he was just another hollow career politician that doesn't have the energy or what it takes to win. Trump is an historic figure, an outsider that wins in spite of a constant all out attack from MSM. He entered the political realm and completely blew up the Republican party and political landscape. Poilivere doesn't have the ability to do that so voters went with status quo rather than another career politician offering to tweak the current system.

by MoViN.tArGeT

what happens if the final tally ends like this? The liberals can't form a government with the greens and ndp because thats 171. but the bloc can form a government with the cons. So much power. Can a losing party form a government in canada? I actually don't know They won't but its so much leverage150+23 is 173 161+8+1 is 170so pretty much all hail are new qeubec overlords

Fwiw just need some “true PC conservatives “ in the reform Polievre party and u dont need block québécois ….
But since they love trump style politics kneeling to the overlord Polievre , the odds are weak to find PC allies and compromises for carney shrug

All PC are good for is opposed and talk $h!t, sadly

My god, the devotion to Trump from his acolytes is unbelievable.

I think this explains your utter inability to understand why millions of Canadians see shades of Trump in Poilievre. You're so far up the ass of Trump's "winning spirit", that the idea of a politician who just lost like Poilievre ever being comparable to him is just incomprehensible to you.

If I'm following correctly, Poilievre has made no public comments in the entire day since it was announced he lost his seat. He pledged to continue as leader when it was called for the liberals, but not when his seat was called.

I suspect there is backroom calls etc going on, testing to see whether it is or is not viable to continue. Of course, since he doesn't have "winning energy" - whatever that means - presumably shifty thinks he should resign and someone with more "winning energy" like Bernier should come in???

I donÂ’t think that is a surprise as the man lost his seat to a rookie liberal. IÂ’m sure he is taking some time to reflect talk to his family and the party elite as to what the next step is
Some big names like Ambrose and McKay have come out to defend him . I never realized this is the most seats the party has won in 30 years I think they said and the most votes .

He did say last night he plans to stay on

Reality is if he stays someone will step down but Carney is not required to call a bi election for up to 8 months

Tell me what I am seeing online is BS that the Ottawa Carleton riding had over 90 candidates?

It was a protest stunt against the "first past the pole process."

Maxime Bernier finish 4h in his county .
Not even 1% of votes for his party .
Hopefully that clown finally got the picture and leaves for good -> poor shifty .
Must be sad that powerhouse of politics retires soon .

Danielle smith want to promote real democracies -> reintroducing corporations donors , as if they are people with a voice that will vote for people interest …
Worked so well in the U.S. .

False. The CPC got the highest vote share. But since the left parties banded together to fight timbit Trump, the liberals still won.

Remember all the conservative screeching about “unelected” carney? Well that’s poilievre right now. Those hypocrites should demand his resignation as leader for failing to even win his own election.

Any rules are for the others , not for them because of freedom .

Poilievre is nowhere close to Trump, but even if he was, so goddamn what? Trump puts his country first. If Trump ran our country for the last decade, we would be a hell of a lot better off right now. We wouldn't have

  • millions of "students" no one wanted or asked for

  • a ridiculous cost of living/housing crisis

  • absurd wait times for our "free" healthcare

  • an explosion in crime making you have to constantly worry about whether your car is gonna be stolen and sold somewhere 10,000 km away

  • having to choose between risking prison or risking the lives of you and your family in a home invasion because criminals have more rights than victims

  • a heartbreaking drug epidemic

  • our children being poisoned by woke politics/ideology

  • non-Canadians taking jobs from young Canadians that desperately need jobs to pay their way through school, and contrary to what boomers say, are more than happy to work if given the chance

  • refugees being housed in five star hotels with our tax money while homeless Canadians freeze in the streets

  • people who don't qualify for food banks abusing our reputation of being a high trust society and taking food from those who actually need it

  • people taking a dump on our beaches

Millions of two digit IQ Canadians suddenly forgot about all that and decided that an empty threat from Trump (or an extended hand depending on your point of view) is a bigger issue that what I've listed.

Maybe it’s you who see much larger problem then what really is .
You should have voted Maxine Bernier ….

The woke mind virus is deleted, Elon Musk said so on Twitter. So you can remove this from your list.

This is horrific to witness actual Trumpers forming in Canada.
Really getting the worse of the US.

You'll always get a % of crazies, extremists and radicals for a lot of different reasons. Democratic rights also gives them the right to assembly and speech, however cringey or rage-inducing it might be.

I'd be more worried about people who normalize them and court their vote, amplification of their numbers via social media manipulation and foreign agents / fifth columns who use them to sow discord.

I don’t disagree with you that he should step down I am just saying he has a lot of support lets see were that stands in 30 days

Conservatives screaming about a unelected Carney ??

It is proper and correct to be opposite to DEI/wokism and mass unfiltered immigration. Both problems are very recent, invented and caused by the left, and calling the reaction to those vile, horrific policies "trumpism" is wrong.

Trumpism is the stupid tariffs , the nonsense pushed about many topics talking like a drunk and so on.

Being opposite to importing millions of low quality tax-takers is just simply objectively correct, same as it is simply objectively correct to have enough of state enforced gender and racial discrimination.

It is not "crazy" to have an opinion on immigration that 80-90% of people in western countries had 30 or 40 years ago. It's insane to actually have the opposite.

A Trump supporter referring to non-Trumpers as people with 2 digit IQs is pretty funny, considering that is Trump's base you are talking about.
