I never said it was a genocide. I said genocide doesn’t impart a collective stain on an identity group. I don’t look at Germans or Turks as collectively stained because of the genocides committed by their people for instance.

What do you mean by 'Europe'? The British sovereign bases on Cyprus are a sensitive area, but they don't maintain fighters on QRA (Cyprus itself is not in NATO), only point defence by missiles, and the line of flight was nowhere near Cyprus, and it probably passed far enough from Crete to avoid triggering Greek NATO QRA. The southern littoral of the Med is outside the NATO area and Malta is constitutionally neutral and not a NATO member.
What Malta International's civil ATC made of an Israeli military C-130 orbiting in the neighbourhood for hours I don't know, but the ship was anchored well out in international waters and not a Maltese responsibility at that time. In any case there was nothing the Maltese could do militarily, as the Israelis no doubt knew.

No, they couldn't have done a thing. No air-defence radar, no missiles, no fighters, nothing. That would be factored into the Israeli plan.

The Maltese government is bad and corrupt, and it tends to co-operate with Israel, but this is controversial in Malta and a couple of years ago there were calls, including from a former president, to withdraw the ambassador from Tel Aviv and sever diplomatic relations on account of Israel's constant violations of international law.

Whether the C-130 launched the drones is not known at this point. It's not a flotilla, it's a single ship.

When you consider what Russia did in Syria and what it's still doing in Ukraine, that's crazytalk again, apart from being irrelevant.

The true moral compromise going on here is Europe and the Trump administration being completely agnostic to all the pogroms and massacres going on in Syria, and leaving it to Israel on its own to protect civilians from slaughter.

the Russian war has really laid bare the absolute hypocrisy of the West. when Russia acts even 1% as disgusting as the USA or Israel then its a massive story. the fact is that no one can compare to the depravity towards civilians we are witnessing in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.
