I know it’s early and normally I’m not excited about WSOP this soon after but dang it, I’m itching to go back already!

I've completed 2 of 3 verification steps on the WSOP+ App.It was very easy to create/log in to an account after download from the app store.Looks like the first thing I'll be doing is visiting staff on-site to complete my verification: I read that registering with cash is an option; you'll just have to show your app credentials to the cage staff.

This is where I’m at.

I did encounter one issue - when they asked me to sign my name on the consent, it listed my first and middle name but not my last. I thought that was odd. Checked my profile and my first, middle, and last are there so I’m not sure why my last wasn’t asked on the signature part. Hopefully it won’t matter.

Can one sign up for this so-called Caesar's Reward Card online? If so, is there a link? I'm American but I recall a European saying they had to register for this card in person.

I attempted to register for an event (mystery million). I paid with paypal using credit card. The transaction went through. I could see the transaction in my paypal account. But, the app was stuck in "Processing..." page. After awhile, I backed out the page, and the app doesn't show me being registered. I emailed support, and an hour later, I see a message in the app saying they are investigating the issue. Looking at the app "stories", I see at least a couple of other people are experiencing the same thing

That said... as an optimist, I find this so easy to use. Hopefully, all the kinks will be figured out.

Lots of questions and answers here, also a link to a space that Kevmath ran a couple of hours ago:

I noticed one option is to pay using WSOP.com. so if you're playing online events, looks like you can just transfer money from there to pay for live events.

Pig4bill says he can't use a smartphone as he states.

I'm sure they'll have people on site that can register for wsop+ but it sure probably won't be convenient.

It does say you can still have a ticket printed out but who knows how that process will work out.

Bingo.

It seems redundant to walk up to a window, hand them money and my Rewards card. AND THEN have to do something on WSOP+ too. But apparently this is what you get when an online poker company owns the WSOP.

From the app FAQ

Q. What if I don’t have a smartphone?
A. On-site staff can assist you with creating your WSOP+ account. You will need a verifiable email address. Physical tickets can be printed out for tournament registrations.

This stuck out the second time I read it. How is anyone going to verify an email address? Send an email to it? Well gee, let me go to my hotel and set up my laptop. Then I'll come back and tell you what the secret code is. Tough luck if you didn't bring your laptop to Vegas.

I am an old geezer.
I have an iPhone and an email address.
That's pretty much a basic requirement in this day and age.
I did hold off as long as I could to get that iPhone. I quickly realized that I couldn't do without it.

This is becoming increasingly true, unfortunately for me. When my employer was under previous ownership, I found that my situation in not unique. The guys in IT have encountered 2 or 3 other employees that can't use touch screens either. The new ownership doesn't care that much because I'm required to do something which has to be done on a smartphone, and they haven't found a workaround.

That is interesting since my PayPal account is directly connected to my credit card. I hope that it will work this way

I'm glad I don't have to use Paypal because my info was apparently stolen and a half-dozen crooks have tried to buy bitcoin with it. Paypal seems to be very unsecure, given that I've never completed a transaction with it.

If using ACH do you think it will be instant? Or is there a waiting period until the funds show in your WSOP account? I fly in the morning of my first tournament.

WSOP+ is just replacing bravo effectively. Technically same as before but we never interacted with bravo where the staff had to do it. Caesars Rewards--> bravo
vs caesars rewards ---> wsop+. Now all the info is at our fingertips instead of looking at an archaic bravo info screen.

Anyway, seems they have their solution as quoted below on pokerorg

WSOP+ mandatory but app not essential
A WSOP+ account is required, though you may register and play without a phone. An account will be created at the cage where you can register and receive a ticket. That ticket will have a QR code and tournament staff will scan it for seat assignment information.

You'll just probably be behind waiting for a floor to scan your QR code where people with smartphones will know instantly where to go.

For international players, anyone worked out whether deposit/withdrawal fees will be better using ACH through a provider like Wise, PayPal, or using Luxon Pay?

I have always felt like if they could find a way to separate the registration process from the seat assignment process, it would be a lot better. Seats should only get assigned when a player is ready to play. That way they can have more balanced tables at all stages, particularly at the start of events. I hate it when I’m at a short table that can’t start on time due to a lack of players.

I’m not sure if the app is supposed to do all this, but if it is, it’s a good idea. It should also speed up the manual registration process a little bit too since the cage won’t have to explain to players where they’ll be playing and answer questions about that.

I think I'm glad I'm not going to be there until mid-June. While I'd love to think that the changes all get implemented without a hitch and the first week is smooth sailing, I've seen enough issues from the WSOP over the years to be pessimistic where they're concerned. Hopefully they'll have any major issues worked out and most of the bugs fixed before the Monster Stack.

Yeah it won't let me register for a Caesar's Rewards Card online as i'm from the UK so need to do it in person, you should be able to being in USA πŸ‘

I sent funds from Wise to Luxon. It was a $12 flat fee. My funds are sitting in Luxon and my understanding is that I can now buy in to events fee-free in the WSOP+ app. Seems to be the smoothest option.

(From UK here)

FatFish, would you use Luxon over PayPal? I'm thinking of doing that even though i've used PayPal for years with no issues

Hotel rates keep getting cheaper. I cancelled my Cosmo room and could immediately book the same room for around $500 less. Park MGM is $20 a night for an entire week which is where I will probably end up. Caesar's doesn't seem to have dropped for me nearly as much as MGM properties. If you have a room booked you might see if you can rebook cheaper.

So I have to stand in line twice. Once to reg and once to join the stupid WSOP+, which will be long and tedious because someone has to fill out your crap. Even once I'm signed up, every time I reg, I'll have to stand in a second line for someone to scan something?

Most people do it on their phone as they are standing there. Takes 2 seconds.

Horseshoe/Paris holding the line for those trying to book for the early Mystery bounty tournament. I guess demand remains high for that event.

I installed the yahoo mail app on my iPhone just now so that emails would now show up on my iPhone.
BTW, my problem with PayPal was trying to change or delete old, defunct phone numbers they had on record for me. That was a real chore. Haven't used PayPal in years.

I'm not seeing any movement except upward in CET properties (Cromwell, Paris, Horseshoe) From Mid June on for several months now and I check weekly.

Anyone who has had to do verification in the past years, was the verification desk/area open the same hours as the buy in windows?

Page says:
Registration: The main registration area is located in the Champagne Ballroom, near the front end of the Paris Convention Center. This office opens on Tuesday, May 27 at 9:00am, and will be open from 6:30am through 5am, daily through July 17 th at 12:00pm.

For verification it says:
To register online, players will be required to visit WSOP verification located in the Champagne Ballroom to verify their account.

Can I assume the verification desk or whatever will have the same hours? I land on a friday night around 11pm and am playing an event saturday morning at 10am. Would like to get my verification out of the way that night instead of having to do it in the morning when I can assume the line for verification will be much longer.

I got stuck in that "Processing ..." loop too but I saw a 'payment received' message flash before it entered that loop. I waited a while and backed out of the loop. CC check showed that payment went out. WSOP+ provided 'Register' (for event) Green button which I hit. There was no feedback of anything happening so I hit it again. I did get a new message that in person verification is required. I believe I am now, gulp, registered for the Monster Stack.
