This is completely inaccurate way to look at this.
Trump can't take credit for bombing the Houthis so he stops bombing them.
If Houthis starts again, Trump says Houthis lied (even though they are actually saying Trump lied and they never agreed to a ceasefire) and then he could take credit for bombing the Houthis.
If Houthis do stop, at least temporarily, then Trump just claims credit for a deal he didn't actually make.
This is about Trump wanting to take credit and stroke his own ego.

As I referenced (but did not cite) earlier in this thread, the genocide case against Israel brought by South Africa was supported by a list of over 500 statements made by Israeli leaders and decision makers indicating their intent to genocide. This is a deplorable guy and the rhetoric employed here is terrible. He did distinguish that he was talking about Hamas and not about all Palestinians though.

Some college protests have started working. We are seeing some divestments and that is the encouragement the student protestors need to keep going.

Where are these divestments you speak of? I vaguely recall activists getting a couple universities to remove Sabra hummus* from the food halls, but that is about it.
*It isn't even my favorite, but I actually make it a point to get Sabra hummus now pretty much every time I go grocery shopping, out of principle.
Also, whether you want to frame it as a capitulation or not, the Houthis agreeing not to attack non Israeli shipping would be a pretty big positive development for the rest of the world. And given this would pretty much be going back to the status quo (minus all the destruction that happened to them) without influencing what is going on in Israel/Gaza at all, hard to argue it is a win.
Indeed, generally when Arab/Muslim countries decide to attack Israel, not only do they pretty much never influence things in any positive direction for their side, after a couple months they are basically just begging to go back to how things were before they decided to attack. The University of San Francisco very recently divested from any companies supporting the Israeli military, including Palantir.
