I don't think of myself as scared or evil, but I'll let others assess my dumbness.

@d2_e4?

If you're asking the dude who built his [strike]trolling[/strike] posting career here calling you a moron to assess your dumbness, you're probably pretty ****ing dumb.

Makes sense.

Your shtick is well past wearing thin at this point.

Shtick? I’m the only one who tells the truth here.

If ‘ontological’ causes you to short circuit, then substitute in metaphysical.

The point: violence is more fundamental than rationality. Once violence is no longer contained by your past socialization, then you’re rolling the dice when your new strategy is to contain it using reason.

You can rationalize for violence just as easy as you can rationalize against violence.

I've seen Craig's posts since the ancient days of RGT. It's no shtick.

Nobody knows if you're telling the truth or not as nobody has a scooby doo wtf you actually mean with all your cryptic psychobabble word salad.

^^Case in point. You remind me of those notebooks John Doe had in Se7en, only in human form.

Our fear is from all civilian men, because any one of them could be a rapist. Until the activity stops, we should be treating every man as a potential rapist.

Violence is ontological, which means it’s embedded deeper in humanity than nature.

Violence is ontological sounds like a philosophy madlib

Okay, let’s break this down super simple:

Violence is a core part of what makes humans, well, human. It’s not just something we pick up from the world around us—it’s baked into who we are, even deeper than our instincts.

If the word “ontological” (or “metaphysical”πŸ˜‰ makes your brain hurt, just think of it as “built into the very essence of being human.”

The big idea: Violence is stronger than logic or reason. If you’ve been taught to keep your violent side in check, that’s great. But if that control slips, don’t expect to talk yourself out of it with pure reasoning. You can just as easily use logic to justify being violent as you can to argue against it.

In short: Violence is a deep, messy part of us, and reason alone might not keep it under control.

This coming from you?

Me: Restate Grok:

Craig. I don't misunderstand the concept of violence. Or your use of $50 words. It's your garbled posts in general. Trust me when I say you're a piss poor communicator. It's not that we're too stupid to get you. It's that you're quite frankly inarticulate.

by craig1120 m

This coming from you?

Yes, this coming from me. I don’t think you know what ontological means based on how you are using it, at least you don’t know how it is used in analytical philosophy.

At what level do you think I mean if not ontological?

“Violence is [blank].”

Which word would you insert instead of ontological?

I’ll then tell you if that’s accurate for what I actually mean.

Well I don’t know what you mean by ontological so I don’t know how to help you there.

What I mean when I use the word ontological is related to being/what is. And the vast majority of the time that ontological is used (vs ontology which would be the study of being in metaphysics) it’s in the context of an ontological argument for God, which is an argument positing God as a necessarily existent being.

Pretty much all of them.

That would be an ontological matter.

I mean the same. Violence is at the level of being. Violence is ontological.

In religious language (which I was avoiding), violence is woven into the soul of humanity.

You also seem to be avoiding the English language.

I have a B.A. in Philosophy and I think he almost knows what ontological means.

I know philosophy through direct experience. Believing you are an authority on philosophy because of classroom based credentials is silly.

not necessarily, in his case it's a genuine credential of something he's studied, even if it happened at a place like oral roberts, whereas you're just saying behold my blathering that everyone uniformly condemns
