What's the big deal with Rory's non confirming driver? He hasn't spoken to the media, isn't this a bit of a standard thing to happen that isn't really his fault?

Yeah they talked about it in yesterday’s broadcast that they test about 50 drivers and a bunch end up being non conforming. It’s as a result of having a 1000 hits on a driver and they switch it out to the back up
So yes it is common and not a big deal

Back surgeries are bad, always want to avoid cutting open the back. That said he's young and talented, hopefully he can get back to competing in majors again.
