Effing hell, they changed the plan again, the bomb pot tourney is only one bp per orbit (not all bp as originally announced)

From desktop. On my phone browser, it's at the bottom.

Thanks I see them, still think it’s a slight fail as very few may scroll at the way to bottom

Yea, obviously they should have put it in the menu options for mobile. That would take like 30 seconds to do, way too much trouble for them.

Even a 15-year-old programmer would be able to figure out that should be done.

...How many wsop players do you really think died since last year? And whatever number you come up with how's that any different from any other year?

Who knows how many famous and unknown WSOP players have died but here are some:

"Miami" John Cernuto
A legendary tournament player and Poker Hall of Fame nominee, "Miami" John Cernuto died in February 2025 at the age of 81. Cernuto was renowned for holding the record for the most live tournament cashes in poker history, with 597 cashes and over $6.4 million in career earnings. He was a three-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner and a beloved figure in the poker community.

Matthew Parry
WSOP bracelet winner Matthew Parry passed away unexpectedly in June 2024. Parry was known for his passion for both chess and poker, and his recent successes included winning a Wynn Summer Classic title just a week before his death.

Chad Batista
Long-time poker professional Chad Batista died unexpectedly at the age of 34 in November 2024. Batista was a respected player with a significant online and live presence, remembered fondly by friends and family.

Jason “Clozer” Kapoor
Jason Kapoor, a well-known player in the Michigan and Midwest poker circuits, died at the age of 29 in 2024. Kapoor was recognized for his online and live play, with notable tournament results and a reputation for his infectious personality.

And probably due to age, Phil Hellmuth's desire to play in the Main Event has died.

---------------

Yes, people die every year, but birth rates have noticeably declined in recent years and eventually, if not currently, this will have an effect. Don't mean to get morbid and this is mainly a mental exercise.

Where did you see that? The structure sheet on WSOP.com still says: A Double Board Bomb Pot occurs every hand. Each player must ante every hand.

He passed away nearly a decade ago.

You're probably thinking of Chad Brown who died in 2014.

Maybe do 2 seconds of Google research.

I guess I've got to be careful of some AI sites. This site implied he died in the last year:

They both died a long time ago.

On the sheet I’m looking at … there must be different versions of it out there

There are many more new 21 year olds entering the fray then there are people dying

That said, the fields can’t keep growing forever

Looks like you are correct. Just looked at the structure sheet and it’s similar to last years now except all PLO. 8 hands of PLO, DB Bomb pot, 8 hands of PLO rinse and repeat

Anyone know what time the online bracelet events usually end? Now that east coast has merged it's kind of ridiculous to start them at 330pst/630est.

I’m here and the ID verification line is about a 2 hour wait. Only three people working it at the Paris cashier.

They say they’ll have it in the WSOP area tomorrow morning with more people working. Hopefully it will go faster but there will be a lot more people here then.

The issue is the majority of people don’t have the app and/or don’t have an account set-up yet.

Please do everyone a favor and download the app and enter your info for an account prior to going up for ID verification!

Is there a Diamond line for ID verification?

Snagging casual players after work?

"online bracelet" is such a dumb thing. I hope any serious site separates real bracelets and online "bracelets" when doing tallies of how many bracelets people have.

by NickMPK m

Unfortunately, no. At least not at the cage yesterday. I’m not sure if they’ll have one or not when they start doing it at 9:00 this morning in the WSOP area.

Bracelets are a marketing gimmick. That's it.

It’s a real sh** show for sure … but what else is new??? :-)))

Plus: I’m taking any bets, before the mass events start (colossus, or seniors event, even worse) … it’s gonna be a disaster.

Those seniors will never even have heard about the new app, let alone downloaded it … fun times ahead

There should be a separate line for ppl that have app installed and ready to go

Is the verification line going to be different than the registration line?

After you're verified and you register on the app, does the app tell you what table to sit at?

Whiskey, it's weird but last night I looked after you said this and saw the new sheet where they changed it. Today I went to print it out and they have replaced it again with a new sheet that now says all PLO bomb pots (every hand) for the entire tourney.
