So does all of Canada get behind the Oilers to end the drought, or are they hated enough by some fan bases that they want them to fail?
It's really hard for me to cheer for the Oilers, because of the 1980s and 1990s, Winnipeg had 100 point teams but always lost to Edmonton or Calgary, except the year we lost after being up 3-1 on Vancouver.
So, I would like Edmonton to win, just so we don't have to hear about Canada not winning a cup in 40 years, and I would feel happy for Edmonton fans, but the Oilers' dandies, **** them.
In fact, it's ok if they win the cup, as long as Winnipeg doesn't have to lose to them again.
Winnipeg won once back in 1979 [becoming the forever world champions] and have been paying for it ever since.
I'm anti US and I'll support the Oilers. Sure the rest of Canada will join the bandwagon.
