A pdf with all of the structures is on wso... - doesn't seem to be visible on the mobile site though.

17% juice for the Mystery Millions. How does that compare with past years?

It's 12%. Same as last year but an increase from 11% a couple years back and 10% precovid.

1ks/1100s in general are 11.8-12 5% juice
(The typical 970+130)

It’s 12% if I am counting correctly!

It's a gimmicky event and maybe the gimmick is getting tired.

I’m sure there are lots of factors. But this is definitely one of them. This will be the first year I don’t play the event and I have typically thrown 2-3 buy-ins at it.

I’ve made a point not to play larger buy-in mystery bounty events elsewhere too. At the end of the day, it would be fun to open up an envelope for a big prize. But it makes tourneys, which are already a lottery to some extent, just that much more about luck.

The first few days of WSOP each year always feel subdued. It's the stories that bring the event to life, and there aren't any yet. So I'm still hopeful the excitement of past years will return but we'll have to wait and see

I do worry that all the negativity about the app and verification will push people away without even trying to register. I verified yesterday and it honestly is not complicated. Only had to wait about 10 minutes in line at 4pm.

For almost everyone the time saved through the series by the app will outweigh the verification wait (quicker to buy-in and reregister for future events, shorter cash reg lines, no more waiting in pre-payout lines). And we should applaud WSOP for waiving credit card fees

Hello everyone, I applied for my Real ID 3 weeks ago and of course I still have not received it yet. I know this is probably unlikely but does anyone know if I’d be able to use my voided ID, or my printed off temporary ID to enter tournaments? I could bring my birth certificate and Social not sure if that would help though. I am scheduled to leave next Tuesday so starting to get nervous that the physical ID won’t be here in time.

I'm fine with some mystery bounties, but it's not even a good format for a mystery bounty. Wynn and NAPT mystery bounties bag up as soon as the bubble pops. Everyone who cashes comes back to day 2 as a mystery bounty. Meanwhile mystery millions plays way beyond the bubble on day 1, returning <5% of the field to day 2 to pull bounties. The WSOP prefers top-heavy payouts so they can promote "$1 million for first" and "$1 million top bounty". The mega bucks pipe dream lottery payouts make good copy, but are bad for the poker ecosystem. A handful of people will make real money. For most, the event will be a waste of time.

That's all tournaments to a point, but this one is among the worst in that regard.

Oops, I had scrolled down to the "Industry" event.

Agree wholeheartedly. I've stayed away from mystery bounty tournaments. If I wanted to have a chunk of my winnings devoted to a couple random shots at big money, I could just take some of my payout and head over to the roulette table. I feel the same way about the ridiculous flip-and-go.

We'll see how the rest of the series plays out. If the Mystery Millions entries are down more than other tentpole events, hopefully they'll take that as an indication that it shouldn't be their big opening event.

Yeah, I've never made top 5% in a bracelet event in my life. Not only that, but you have to have a healthy stack to call/bet all-in to collect a bounty. Considering I'd also have to buy a weekend room for 2 nights, it would cost me more than another Monster Stack bullet. Sure, I have no shot at a million in the Monster, but my chances of winning a million in the Mystery are so small I'd need an electron microscope to see them.

I agree , If you want start a WSOP with bang , $500 Buying events with great Prize Pool guarantee will bring 20000 to 30000 players

The chances to win a million from mystery bounty are infinitely higher than the monster for 99% of players

Anyone know how payouts work? If you cash in an event they just put the money in your WSOP+ app/account yes? Then you can cash out in person for cash or another method through the App, maybe paypal or ACH?

I found this on the FAQ on the WSOPPlus site

Q. Can I withdraw my winnings or unused funds online?
A. No. All payouts and withdrawals from Paris TA must be handled in person.

Does this mean winnings go into a Paris TA account no matter the funding source and everything comes out in cash in hand in person?

Let me know if anyone was able to find a definitive answer or details on cashout procedures

Well, the 1500 O/8 event entry number stayed basically flat so that is positive there was not a big decline.
2024 - 928 runners
2025 - 910 runners

Yes definitely, you see some weird posts on here sometimes

With last year’s mystery bounty there were three 1M prizes (2 bounties or winning the thing) with 18K runners. So 1/6000

Monster, one 1M prize with 9000 runners

And then have to reflect the fact that a rec doesn’t have to win to get one of the 1M bounties. Not infinitely, but much more likely

If cash is deposited at Paris for use on the wsop plus app, what is the withdrawal process? Also, are these funds available to use for cash games?

I've seen a couple posts like this that reference the number of entrants in different events last year. Where are you finding that information? I thought all the pages of past event info were removed from the WSOP site when they took a hatchet to it.

Speaking of which, I find it extremely annoying that there are no more event updates, results, and reports available on the web site. I know some of that data is available in the WSOP+ app now, but it seems both less exhaustive and much harder to navigate. Plus I hate that now we're seeing nicknames for a lot of players instead of actual names.

I have been using hendonmob for player counts from previous years.
Live Updates are now only on pokernews website.

by riverph7 m

Oh that’s not encouraging!!

Between first 2 days of attendance in Mystery Million is 2000 less than last year.

Does anyone know the total entries for the Mystery Millions for day's 1 and 2 combined this year?

1394 and 1833 =3227

Its in the WSOP+ app, in the tournament listing, click the filter and select completed events and it will show all events.

If anyone playing today’s event or in the horseshoe/Paris can tell us if there is huge line to take seat or just register and take a seat ?

This will be a indicator for Mystery Million Bounty flight Day 1D ( Friday) and 1E ( Saturday)

2024 World Series of Poker Wikipedia can give you entrants, winner, and top prize

I usually play one or two tournament and always register the night before. With WSOP+, I’m assuming I still can register in cage after I verified if I want to pay by cash ?

I plan on doing the same. It isn't totally clear, but I think when I verify my wsop+ app I will be loading my new, shiny Paris Tournament account with a couple buy-ins via cash. The $2500 minimum is absurd seeing that some dailies are $250 buy in.

I'm also considering verifying and depositing into my...

WSOP.com account, which has $50 minimum deposit. You can load this account at at least 5 Vegas properties at their respective cashier cages.

shhhhhh don't tell them.

P.S. those dailies are already going off, by that, I mean they're generating a nice prizepool. Today's 1p.m., $250 has an 81K+ prizepool! I think the wsop+ app has probably made playing these dailies so much easier. I could see a player needing 30 minutes to rebuy with the conventional cash-at-cage method.

I think in the end, we even might see some record field sizes. Saying that, I'm still on the fence about this new app; And I'm leaning towards one side more than the other.

I'm not certain, but I'm just showing up with Paris black chips for cash.
