That being said, Israel and the US being able to provide aid directly to the Palestinian people without going through the UN really is a game changer. The UN is the vehicle that Hamas uses to smuggle in all their weapons ands to steal much of the aid to sell on the black market. Without the UN supporting them, Hamas iron grip of terror is significantly weakened.Major game cha
It lowers the standard of living, but doesn't solve any military objectives. The point of the tunnels is to make it so that anything can get to any other point in Gaza without being surveilled, which includes food, soldiers, weapons, etc.
Right now, in the areas that still have buildings, Israel has large evacuation zones where they will shoot to kill, but they are being very hesitant to send the tanks and bulldozers in, let alone conduct tunnel operations in those areas.
The goal of the militants is to force Israel to either agree to the Oct 8 demands (i.e. dramatically decrease the blockade from pre-10/7) or force them to keep taking increasingly brutal actions.
Israel, a country that benefits massively from WW2 generation/boomer support (my usually non-political 73-year-old aunt was just lamenting the plight of the Israeli citizens, having zero clue what is actually happening in Gaza), seems to be very confident that no amount of losing the hearts and minds of the world's youth will come back to haunt them in future generations.

and how should Hamas deal with heavily armed criminal gangs stealing aid? guess what, there is plenty of video evidence of these gangs clashing with Hamas. lately, as soon as the fighting starts Israeli drones appear and kill the Hamas members.
ask yourself, why are these people allowed to travel openly carrying heavy machine guns including throughout the no-go death zones? it is bc they are allied with Israel. oh and btw, they are often ISIS affiliated or ideological.

Greenwald has been posting exactly the same stuff about Israel for 20 years. Which is fine. That is his opinion.
But there is absolutely no reason to “take him out” now because of his posts about Israel.
Unlike probably all of you I do follow greenwald. And right now in addition to the consistent anti Israel posts (which as I said have been going on for decades) he is going hard after the Brazilian leftist authoritarian govt, especially their chief censor.
So more likely this is an effort by the Brazilian govt to shut him up.

I haven’t seen anyone credible saying it’s a false flag, but there has to be a decent chance he was on a watchlist and they decided to let him do his worst to deflect attention from the ongoing atrocities in Gaza and the IDF firing bullets as warnings to international visitors.

Being so practiced at counting and controlling calories going in and out of Gaza that they could keep the population, as a whole, on the edge of famine, really isn't something you want to brag about.
The conditions are terrible overall and Israel really could do more to make it better.
Even if there aren't legal, or even moral, obligations on them to do more than they are now, I think it's a mistake for them, for the Palestinians' sake and their own, to be maximally inhumane.
You cannot deny the humanity of another without diminishing one's own. The Israelis will do will to remember every act of cruelty they inflict upon the Palestinian people is also an injury on their own souls.
There is no question some injury was inevitable given how much farther along Hamas has pushed itself and the Palestinian people down the path of self-dehumanization. But Israel still needs to step back and realize one of the dividends of being strong and prosperous is the ability to step back in order to protect its own soul, even if it means taking a few extra punches in the face.

Everything he posts is sourced from someone else on Twitter so if Twitter isn’t talking about Wilkerson’s claims he has no idea what to think or how to respond to questioning.
This also helps explain why he doesn’t see himself as antisemitic despite constantly repeating and amplifying antisemitic discourse.
