President Elon Musk

He probably deserves his own thread at this point, discuss accordingly

I still kind of laugh at Elon's mom saying the world needs to treat him like a modern Einstein even though he's never done any original research at any level and the actual Einstein was a Jewish person in central Europe in the early 20th century.

Leon is indisputably one of the greatest salesmen who ever lived

The idea that he is intelligent on any level beyond that, much less a genius, much less the smartest man alive, is beyond laughable

Elon Musk Brands Bono a 'Liar/Idiot' for Telling Joe Rogan DOGE's USAID Cuts Have Cost 300,000 Lives
"Zero people have died!" Musk insisted, a claim that has been widely debunked by experts

Elon Musk did not mince words, calling U2 frontman Bono a "liar" and "idiot" for claiming that cuts by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) had killed hundreds of thousands of the world's most vulnerable people.

The Irish musician stated during an appearance on "The Joe Rogan Experience" that a recent report "suggests 300,000 people have already died" as food rots "in boats and warehouses" as a result of DOGE's "hard cut" of funding to USAID.

"He's such a liar/idiot," Musk wrote on Saturday in response to a clip shared by Mike Benz, a former official with the U.S. Department of State who wrote that Bono's numbers "are f***** faker than their Covid numbers."

What Musk said: "Zero people have died!"
What Musk meant: "Zero white people have died, only some bleks!"

Yep. And they were warned it was going to happen and didn't care. Inexcusable.

Based on what I’ve read it was Stephen Miller cuz his wife left him for Leon

Which, if true, so ****ing lol

It’s all fun and games for MAGA til the impregnation fetishist comes for your wife, I suppose

What % of his success is from his name being Elon Musk instead of Randy Jones. Seriously.

I don’t think a ton. Which is not to say if he was born into a median American household he doesn’t top out as a middle manager 99 out of 100 times. All of the top ultra rich got super lucky and none are like Lebron James or Terry Tao that are measurably and objectively better at something obvious than the rest of the world. To be fair Einstein also got pretty lucky to be Einstein but he also could do math and physics at 13 that Elon still probably can’t.

Let's just take X off the list because unless Elon bought him brass knuckles to try out, no way that little shiit gave him that.

I really hope the next guy to get a shiner is Hegseth.

Hey did we ever find any of those 20 million people over 115 years old getting social security payments? That sounded like a lot of waste!

You can't embed with &t= on 2+2.

It would be: UAeqVGP-GPM?start=33&

I guess the prevailing theory now is that it was Bessent

We can definitely knock XC-3P0 of that list for sure. With that said, no chance that kid doesn’t grow up to become a serial killer or something

I guess they had a little fukk you back and forth, but I have a hard time believing Bessent could do it. That dude looks like he's going to stroke out just from trying to lie to press. I'm sure at some point in the near future it will be revealed one way or another.

But yeah, that kid will grow up to be a piece of shiit. Not his fault - he just has no chance with such a shitty role model/environment.

Elon could have easily said he was horsing around with his kid and banged his head on the corner of a piece of furniture (which few would believe either), but he thought "Go ahead and punch me in the face" was a better excuse. I guess he couldn't think clearly while being stuck in a k-hole. Should have hit the Addy instead.

My heart goes out to you

Lol they can't even make a good loop up.

Some light research reveals the answer to be "no".

On a positive note, detailed information on all American citizens, their income and their social security information is in the hands of a fake government agency which never had a leadership, an administrator or anyone holding any position accountable for anything. They only had people telling them what to do, but we all know that trying to argue that those people were responsible for anything is deeply unfair.

Thankfully, they also handled said information so ineptly and insecurely that it seems very likely said information was stolen by 3rd parties and foreign agents while it was being collected. So it is not like they operated without oversight, though a cynic might argue that it would have been better with American oversight. To that cynic I just say this: You can't have it all.

Fortunately, to rectify all of this, the administration will hand the information over to a big data analytics firm with a history of gray-area private intelligence services, human rights abuses and which even shared offices with disgraced company Cambridge Analytica (which essentially packaged and sold big-data fueled election meddling).

This might superficially seem like a bad idea, but I'm sure everyone worried about government overreach are already riding to the rescue in a big unified front to make sure everything is above board.

The CEO of Palantir is a legitimate ****** as well. Just all around weird world views that have no basis in reality and due to the success of his company he feels emboldened to let the world know exactly how ******ed he actually is.

Just weird stuff all around from reality. I dunno how we got here, really.

Companies like Palantir at their core deliver a pretty simply product:

They recruit analysts, operatives from the intelligence services of developed nations and join them with developers and engineers. With this competence aboard, they essentially sell their digital intelligence products to three categories of clients:

1. Nations and states whose official law enforcement and intelligent services can't legally do the same.
2. Nations and states whose law enforcement and intelligence services can't technologically do the same.
3. Pariah states whose law enforcement and intelligence services are barred from diplomatic cooperation, denying them the capacity to do the same.

Now, to be clear: Their stuff kinda works. There are plenty of dead dissidents who fought for human rights in dictatorships which proves its track record, and there is also no doubt that it could probably have some success in predicting extremist violence. To use a "legal" analogy: In our developed countries, they're basically selling the service of stealing your mail and copying it, something which would be tricky for law enforcement / intelligence services to do by the book.

However, it is bit like stopping home invasions with land mines and carpet bombing. While one could probably argue about the odd successful outcome, if people were actually presented with an informed choice, they'd be better off with the home invasions.

So what does long-winded post this have to do with your post? Well, to be in this specific business and sell this product, you really have to be a son / daughter of a bitch. And I'm not using that term in a cute Hollywood way of referring to someone unscrupulous or tough in all the right ways. No, I'm referring to people who are such full-blown psychopaths with zero respect for the rights or well-being of others, that you probably wouldn't want your children near them.

Hey remember when DOGE took over the building of “international terrorist organization” USIP with the help of local police, were forced to leave after a court ruling a couple months later, and then trashed the office leaving rats and a bunch of weed behind?

How much you think that saved the average taxpayer?

at least a couple hundred bucks saved by purchasing really crappy looking weed....so there's that

What about Thiel's worldview do you find objectionable? Also, FWIW Thiel constructed his worldview long before Palantir and has been more than wiling to talk about it for decades. He just never had much of an audience until very recently.

You realize this includes the governments of the majority of the people in the world, whose people generally are ok with this, as long as they aren't the ones being targeted? If you actually look around, the liberal world is fairly small and getting smaller by the year.

I always appreciate the cognitive dissonance when liberals say people who do "X,Y and Z" are evil or immoral. When this list includes pretty much most of the non white world. But in the liberals mind, this is fine, because they don't really think non white people actually have any moral agency anyways, so they aren't talking about them.
