Lost another hour of my life on Twitter reading all of the bullshit in the "For You" section. Holy **** my feed is 60% MAGA idiots, 39% dem idiots and 1% "You won't last 10 seconds" of pictures of girls in bikinis. Dude, I lasted 11 seconds.

Pics of girls in bikinis or it didn't happen.

It was the underboob

Pfft 10 seconds, I'd show them the best 25 seconds of their lives (we're including cuddling time, right?)

pls put in spoilers to avoid the soilers

Elon spent $44 billion to buy Twitter and tell everyone that humanity will end if Trump is elected.

Half a year later, Trump is on the Epstein list and ruining the country.

How dumb must you feel if you bought into any of that ****?

by housenuts

Musk moves his companies to China or Russia. Who wins?

All of us?

They dont feel dumb and they dont care. They dont care. Most dont know what the situation is and if they did they wouldnt care. Thats a lot of free energy to know what's going on there that probably encapsulates <5% of adults. All they will care about and all they will understand is how their opponents are attacking them more.

But dems are so ****ing dumb at cultivating a base + kicking out any and all potential voters for high risk, zero pay off, self serving horseshit + passionately motivating the other side to want to get as far away from those fools as possible. Dems couldn't manage to beat the worst GOP candidate in the history of human beings, with all the bells and whistles on their side all because of ego, and they still cant change their ways. Its epic to watch.

How much would Biden have to **** up in the WH for voters to turn to Trump?

Elon and Greta should host a podcast together.

How creepy would that be?

Mega Creepy!
You just know Elon is gonna offer Greta money to have his baby, the old fashioned way.

He didn't have to screw up anything, everything was going pretty well. Republican politicians and biased news sources just convinced people we were in a recession by saying it over and over.

Meanwhile, Musk saif he wants a two year recession, and Trump tells people that they may have to suffer awhile before things get better.

When did he do this?

pretty sure ReliableSource meant isn't

? that twitter mattered for the elections is common knowledge

Your boy Elon is definitely talking more about the $275,000,000 he spent on Trump.

The MAGA civil war is hilarious to watch. Total meltdowns. It hasn't exceeded my expectations yet, but the year is still young. Would be hilarious if Trump deports him like Bannon is calling out.

Elon is a complete reetard to not know he was always going to be the fall guy. I wonder if all the personal data he collected was worth it for him.

Your take is that people were convinced that we were in a recession?

Could you elaborate a bit? I'm in good faith interested in hearing your ideas with this.

Musk is behaving like a complete ****** (actually more like a drug addicted) because it's all self inflicted by him in the last 18 hours.

There was no "obvious fall guy" 24 hours ago, and Trump had covered him in praise just a few days ago.

Musk had "the idea of a plan" evidently, of playing the long game from the sidelines for now to limit the damage to Tesla and so on, and yet all it took to melt him was too much Adderall (or whatever it is he is on these days).

Please remind it was a completely unenforced error by Musk that triggered everything (going not only against the budget bill but personalizing it against Trump and not only against congress).

2 days ago he was just talking against the bill and things for him were still fine.

This is less of a civil war and more of a suicide by tweets.

You must be on K, too, if you think Elon was going to be in the administration for 4 years and there wasn't going to be a fall out between the two. So, tell me, which guy went toe-to-toe with Trump during his presidency and didn't get fukked over when they had a falling out?

You don't think they were? Trump and other Republicans talked about that all the time last year.

Here's an example of how wrong people were about the economy a year ago, even Democrats, in May 2024.

"[the poll] shows that 56 percent of Americans believe the nation is currently in a recession, that 49 percent believe the stock market is down (actually, it’s up), and 49 percent also believe unemployment is at a 50-year high, even though it’s actually near the lowest point in the past half-century."

About half of people thought inflation was increasing at that time, when it was actually decreasing.

I suppose it could be contested WHY people had these mistaken ideas, but at least a good part of the blame has to be given to Republicans and conservative "news" sources constantly lying about these things.

There was much speculation here maybe 6-9 months ago that at some point in the next year or two Musk would have a complete meltdown. Personally I hope this is just the beginning of it.

actually both can be right.
something i was arguing about with desertcat.
if u have a small portion of thr population doing great while the majority arent ( a K shape economy) despite a high gdp, many could actually feel to be in a recession and if over half the population has it hard then u can have a bad economy despite the number shrug

Steve Bannon calls for Elon Musk to be deported as Trump feud erupts

Steve Bannon, former adviser to President Donald Trump, questioned billionaire Elon Musk's immigration status on Thursday and called for Trump to "initiate a formal investigation" because he believes Musk "is an illegal alien."

Elon throwing the sig didn't have a very lasting impression.

Bannon trying to ass kiss his way back in the fold, hoping no one realises he was even more scathing of the Budget than Elon.

by Luciom

Don't buy into the narrative that there was a clash between Trump and Musk. There is no sign that happened.

Interesting position once again
