I have no idea but when you are debating it’s optimal to lean on side of being conservative

Because as far as I’m concerned I win the debate assuming he netted 8M over 30 years

Let borg23 walk down the street tonight and ask 1,000 people if anyone who made 8M over 30 years was professional at what they do. It’s coming back 1,000 yes

Lots of physicians, corporate executive, successful businessmen, etc.

Lots of physicians, corporate executive, successful businessmen, etc.

Yup, an average of 267K per year. With no school loans to pay back.

Just to add, I assumed he broke even on everything but that 1M second place was what put him over the top. That’s basically the goal, tread water and hit the big score.

Pokergo is showing that 2-7 NL final table starting at 11:30 PM Eastern. Updates in Pokernews, etc. are delayed to be in sync with the hour or so delay on the broadcast.

7th place, with 11th in the 10K stud, and 2nd in the 10K 08. He does pretty well in these 10Ks for an amateur.

He served his purpose, got it televised

Agreed, screw PokerGO and their paywall. It’s very bad at growing the game.

It’s on YouTube

I’ve been very happy to support PokerGO as I think in past their mixed game coverage was very good and helped grow the games.

But everything is now on PokerGO YouTube so not much reason to subscribe

What about tax?

At this point, Daniel is a professional poker personality, possibly the only one who is anywhere near close to being "mainstream".

And I doubt there's many itt who wouldn't love to had his poker journey.

Yes I’m sure he paid taxes but that doesn’t change anything

DNegs is one of three mainstream poker personalities that recs are excited to play with. And he’s by far the most engaging of the three.

So he’s the last of an era. While I understand he can be annoying and many wish they had what he does, he’s good for poker.

7th place in the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship,

The World is a better place now.

The worst thing about yesterday's video was the shameless promotion of the new anti hangover thing he was advertising

Yeah, thought the same.. How much money can he be making from these promotions for it to be worthwhile?

Contenders Clothing is the worst clothing brand I've ever seen in my life.

How much money per year do you think Daniel makes playing in cash games vs rich amateurs?

Very little. I don't think that's his hustle.
Daniel can stay busy hustling sponsors.
Besides someone needs to take care of the puppies.

Now Phil Hellmuth on the other hand.

I would guess close to $0 . Daniel rarely ever plays cash games. If he was playing cash games winning millions you would surely hear him brag about it.

The commentary in the NL lowball final table is incredible. The play is very cautious with not much bluffing. I hope/assume they will show the rest starting 6-handed today.

The argument that DN is not a professional player is ridiculous. He is always going deep in these 10K non NLHE non PLO high tournaments and is crushing the PGTs. People watching his vlogs, etc. see lots of final tables. If he was really a losing player, he wouldn't get the sponsorship contract.

His World Series results are negative for the last few years because of the two bullets in $250Ks etc. with no cashes. If he is selling action in the NLHE high rollers, he probably gets at least close to even with his two recent wins in $300Ks and the huge one drop score from 2014.

Somehow missed this yesterday. Dnegs unsolicited on chino Rheem: "Chino is good people.

One of the easiest guys in poker to root for and he plays with tons of passion"

Proceeds to get roasted in replys by peers like cal Anderson and others who make clear their still owed $. Dnegs is such a troll and just kind of an ******* who knows what he's doing. Cool I guess but just enables more scams with that kind of endorsement.

What would one expect from the guy who's influencing action in a WSOP event? Glad to see all the folks on Twitter roasting him, and he'll stay stubborn and not admit he's wrong as usual.

Contenders Clothing is pure cringe. Imagine taking off your pants and youre wearing graphic mess boxer shorts with THE NUTS plastered over them. Middle school humor but Daniel seems to unironically find it funny.

DNegs is extremely biased and has no integrity in these topics. He was heavily advocating for Ali Imsirovic and Jake Schindler (people he doesnt know) to get banned but hes eerily silent when his friend Nacho Barbero openly uses GTO Wizard online. He has always supported his scammer friend Erik Lindgren and never spoken out critically against him, even going as far as to put a positive spotlight back on him by drafting and featuring him in his vlog about his fantasy team this year. Hes always been friendly with Chino, who is a known scammer and loan dodger and is probably profitting a lot from DNegs positive interactions with him on stream.

Next Vlog he will be featuring Maurice Hawkins in a heartfelt segment about how hes a good guy with a bad rep.

I wasn't argueing that. Not hard to be a pro poker player. Probably several million people have done it.

I just know Daniel is not even close to top 100 in the world. And you Daniel lovers seem to think he is which is crazy.

When he plays other pro's like Phil he loses 3-0. Plays Doug loses over 50k hands.
Recently delclined an invite from Alan Keating to play a big cash game. Trust me no one
with the funds that is top 100 in the world would ever decline an invitation from a rich
business man who stumbled into poker. I would play Alan tomorrow if I had the bankroll.

Amazing you DNegs fans can dellude yourself so much. Or is it Daniel constantly trying to explain
his shitty results has somehow worked.

Even more amazing you DNegs fans had like zero problem when he said increasing the rake is good for
the game. Like he can say anything and you monkeys will agree. All you DNegs fans deserve to have your
rake increased, then you monkeys can come back and report if that improved the game.

Legally I couldn’t. But then again my career job has defined requirements to be a pro. Poker doesn’t have that. If you consider the grinders making a living off 2-5NLHE pros, then DN is a pro.

ETA very interesting that I can’t call myself a pro at what made me millions, but can and do file taxes as a poker pro now. Though I don’t consider myself a poker pro.

You sure? Other than him spouting about it, how much do you hear about PH winnings or losses in private cash games.

Alex Rodriguez is still a professional baseball player got it.

Did you do your poll of people? Came back all pro amirite?

Anyways you aren’t a pro poker player only the years that you win. That’s not how it works, especially for someone who only plays high buyins and isn’t swapping.
