I got nicknamed Norm by a friend when Cheers was on. I think it's due to us sharing a name, plus I like beer (maybe more than I should).

When I was playing a lot of blackjack my wife went with me to one of the local casinos one evening. I got quite a few greetings as I walked past the tables. My wife turned to me and said, "You're the Norm of this place!" LOL
With all due respect to both of us and everyone else, nobody other than Norm is the Norm of anyplace. What a memorable character!
