3rd break and running well. 180.5k. 26 players left and 15 get paid.

Whale unfortunately was getting short and shoved AQ inyo 88 and 88 made frikken quads.

I just gotta stay focused now.

Stay aggressive - need to keep chipping up and you can get more folds as the bubble approaches

Play well, run even better!!!

4th break final table 8 left. Chip leader with a little over 900k
Been running hot hopefully it holds!

GO GO GO

2P2 officially putting the hurt on Resorts World.

More like Results World, amirite?

I'm not telling you what to do re: chopping, but from what I've seen, players there typically want to chop when it gets down to a few left.

5th break still chip leader (barely) 3 left

Nice one. How much up top?

Just agreed to chop it up. I i get first amd 4386.

Great run. Congrats.

Boom - great result

Congratulations!

Congrats!!

Thanks for the kind words guys. Just got back to my room and I'm kind of frazzled. I'm tired but I'm not sleepy. I haven't eaten since those chicken tenders this morning and I'm not even hungry. I am thirsty though and I'm sitting up in the room right now sipping on a cold one.

I'm sure I'll have more to say about this tournament once I wrap my head around it. But right now the whole thing is just kind of a blur. I will say this though I ran extremely hot and I made huge hands. Once we're on the bubble in in the money I was like the Grim Reaper if this was a bounty tournament I had a really scooped a lot. But it seems like all the run good that wasn't there for me earlier in this trip showed up all at once today. I made five full houses and I had quads once. And these were in big hands.

I'm just going to pound a few more beers and hopefully get a good night's sleep tonight. Although it wasn't the WSOP bracelet I was hoping for I got one of these instead so I guess it will have to do.

This trip just turned from one of my worst poker results trips to not so bad.

Amazing result man, well done 😀

Amazing result man, well done 😀

Thanks it was great to meet you and great to sit with you today for a few rounds. If I keep listening to you maybe someday I'll really figure out bet sizing. If it's any consolation I got that aggro bastard that got you with the quad 8's.

Nice work!

Well done!!!

Good Job MrBaseBall!

Sometimes all it takes is one win or one good shot in golf!

Congrats!

Congratulations!

Excellent post-tournament strategy!

Great going!

I slept okay last night but I didn't sleep long. I didn't get to bed until a little after 1:00 a.m. I did fall right asleep though. Problem is I woke up at about 5:30. I tried but couldn't fall back asleep so I decided to just get up.

I wandered around for a while after getting cleaned up trying to get some steps in. I ended up at the Grand Luxe for breakfast. I ended up having one of my favorites there the breakfast quesadilla. It was outstanding.

Can I head down to the pool soon and hopefully I can catch a little cat nap down there. Not sure what my plans are for today but it's probably going to involve another tournament. I'll think about it while I'm down at the pool.

I also want to gather a few more thoughts about the tournament yesterday to post. It's all still kind of a blur to me though. All I can say right now is it's the hottest I've ever run in poker at any point in my life.

Just got back from my morning walk. I got a little later start than usual so I only got about four and a half miles in. Now I plan on going down to the pool in about 10 minutes when it opens. Not sure how long I'll stay down there but plan on playing in a daily tournament today. There are a lot of options to choose from. Both the Orleans and the Golden Nugget have good looking

I like the Wynn daily, $200 at noon, has a good turnout even when it's not the WSOP.

Just spent about an hour down by the pool reading a book and I started getting a little sweaty so I decided to come back up to the room and get cleaned up for later in the day. Thought I would go over a few key hands from yesterday's tournament. I'll never understand how guys like Big Whale can remember so many details in hand histories.

For me it's more what I had the general gist of how the hand played out and the result. But these were a couple of the key hands that happened for me during the tournament.

There were two basic hands that got me out of small to medium stack obscurity and into a healthy playing position. The first was when I got the pocket queens. I don't exactly remember all the details but I know I flopped a set. I don't really remember stack sizes or what the blinds were at the time. But I do know that on the Flop I bet 10k. He called and the turn paired the board and giving me a full house. At this point I felt in really good shape so I checked the turn hoping that he would that or catch something on the river. He did check the turn and I decided about 10K again on the river. I think he caught something and came over the top all in. Of course I called and that sent him away from the table. The other hand of Interest was a smaller to medium stack that shoved all in once again I don't remember blinds or Stacks or any of that stuff. But I had JJ and I decided to shove I felt shoving was better than calling because I still had Agro big Stacks yet to play. And I just rather shrink the field with jacks. My Jacks were good and now I had a really healthy stack.

In the hand Big Whale went out in I did indeed have TT. I thought about it long and hard but eventually decided to fold. It was just a little too big for my Comfort Range plus there were some pretty decent sized stacks of aggro players behind me and I didn't feel like going for a flip at that point.

I got moved to a new table and there was a guy with a gigantic stack there. A hand with him is what got me into chip leader status. Once again I got pocket TT. Don't remember blinds at the time but they were big. This was just after we switched the two tables. I made a standard raise pre-flop and he called. I had position on him. I flopped the set of tens and he led into me. I believe the Flop was Ace 10 rag. Turn was another rag. He bet into me again and I called again. River was an ace pairing the board. It also gave me a full house. I'm pretty sure this guy has an ace. I'm just hoping that he doesn't have Ace rag that matches the board. He leads into me again and I shove. When he tanks for a long time I breathe the sigh of relief knowing he didn't boat up. He eventually calls and all of a sudden I am the chip leader.

Honestly there are too many big hands and knock out hands to recall. But two that were very memorable were at the final table. First one I believe was at 15k 30k 30k. I raised to90k with AK. Big blind calls. Flop comes KQJ and he checks. He has about 300K left and I just grab a stack of orange 25k and slide them in. He actually tanks for a minute before calling. But he flopped two pair with KJ. But because of the way I was running a 10 hit on the turn because of course it did. So I hit the Broadway and he was gone.

When we were down to four players the shortest stack was the same guy that made me chip leader with my tens full earlier. This guy's got to hate me. At 20k 40k 40k I raise the button with Ace 9 off. He's in the big blind and slides all his chips into the middle. I'm pot committed and obviously call. He flips up QQ but of course an ace hits the flop. By the time we get to the river there's not only another Ace but a pair of eights giving me another full house which I believe was my fifth of the night.

Anyway that pretty much shows you how I was running. Actually there are many more examples just like those on a smaller scale. Those are just the ones that really stood out. It just seemed like anytime I needed a card there it was.

I'm probably going to take another shot at Resorts World today. It's a beautiful poker room and casino. And it's very comfortable. Plus it's very convenient for me. I was thinking again about the Orleans as they have a 300 going today at 11:00 a.m. but once again I don't want to Uber off strip. Another option would be the 1100 here at the venetian. With my new found bankroll Health that becomes a possibility. But to be honest unless I ran like I did yesterday the stronger field would probably make short work of me. Plus I'm not interested in the time commitment. When I saw that $800 tournament on Thursday still playing at 5:00 a.m. on Friday I decided that that's not for me. Even though they have massive prize pools.

Today is basically my last chance for tournament poker this trip. I'll be here all day tomorrow and leaving Thursday morning but I never like to play a tournament the day before I leave. Too much of a time commitment.

Back at it 25k lets go
