Netflix "Watch Instantly"

I just recently rejoined Netflix and was pleased to see they have added a "Watch Instantly" feature where you can stream

Speaking of Holt McCallany, he stars in The Waterfront tomorrow on Netflix.

This is great news.

One of the smartest tv shows I can remember. No surprise given it was Fincher

Ended up binging The Waterfront. I would give it 7.5/10

I somehow missed that Hellbound Season 2 came and went last year? I had no idea lol. I know my next binge now.

You probably need to watch S1 again though. I kept looking for S2, and when it came out I never had time to rewatch S1 so I just started watching S2E1 and was lost.

I watched a youtube recap!

Adults on Hulu, no complaints from me. I hope it does well enough to merit another season.

Tires S2 is a lot better than S1. I found S1 unwatchable, but each episode of S2 is an easy 20 minute watch.

Human resources woman! The gun!

So good.

English police mystery on Netflix dept q is pretty solid.

Agreed. It's a clear tier below some of the shows it is imitating (e.g., Ozark), but it goes down quite easily. I like Holt McCallany.

I finished it last night and thought it was pretty good. I hope they do another season.

Squid Game tomorrow.

Can they land the plane?

Solid indeed. Had to watch it with english subtitles though lol.

I have to watch everything (except sports) with subtitles on, but don't get me started.

(Also watch everything subtitled - when it's a foreign show I even pretend to myself it's educational!)

First 2 episodes of Smoke on Apple were good, with big reveal at the end of 2nd episode.

Was bored waiting for new shows and started rewatching Animal Kingdom that is now on Netflix a few days ago, I can't stop watching, already on Season 5. lol

As a Scotsman calling it an English Police mystery pissed me off a bit but I suppose the main guy is English so fine

Just finished. I'm honestly not quite sure what to think.

Well, it was written as a Nordic Noir, if that makes it any better.

I feel like we're on the verge of a "An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman walk into a bar..." joke

an englishman looks down at his pint and sees a fly in it and sends it back for a fresh one, the scotsman sees a fly, picks it up, tosses it over the shoulder and resumes drinking his pint, the irishman sees the fly and picks it up and starts screaming "spit it back, spit it back!"

Haha yeh I guess, my comment was just a little tounge and cheek 😆

The Trainwreck series have been pretty good. The first installment was the 3 part '99 Woodstock docuseries back in 2022.

They're currently releasing single episode series per week (roughly 55 mins per).

So far they've done:

Astroworld
Poop cruise
Rob Ford (former Toronto mayor)
American Apparel

Still to come:

The Real Project X
Balloon Boy
P.I. Moms
Storm Area 51
