In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there a
Luciom started this and I won't speak for him, but if there were any "ELI5 how we test for intelligence in the lab" articles or videos you want to share, I'd consume them. If I gave the wrong impression that I have empirical data on this topic, I apologize. If I had to give a short-notice, make-it-up-as-you-go report about the topic of racial tendencies, my talk would focus on
Fair enough, my understanding was you were defending the view.
You'll have a hard time finding a post where I say, "Evolution is BS".Don't bother looking. I don't want you wasting your time on a Friday afternoon. You will likely find posts taking jabs at replacing the idea of a God/creator with "X billion years of cumulative freak accidents leads from nothingness to apes throwing feces at each other on the Internet", but the basic concep
I see you are skillfully dodging my question. Do you prefer my flourish and the elephants with the wings in the ark story or not?
#1 rule of weapon discipline is don't point a gun at someone you don't intend to shoot and nobody has the power to murder someone for taking a picture of their car.
Being a giant scared pussy isn't a good reason to threaten to murder someone for holding a phone
It wont be long before we have criminals imitating ICE because they appear to just do whatever they want with zero oversight and it takes about 100$ worth of equipment to get all the identifiable markings of an ICE agent

I just read today that ICE agents have been grabbing people, wearing a mask covering their faces, plain clothes, no badges, and without identifying themselves.
How the hell is anyone supposed to know that this isn't a kidnapping by a criminal organization? What happens when someone shoots one of the agents?
Most Americans, and pretty much every Republican, would say it's perfectly legitimate to kill someone trying to kidnap them or a family member. I certainly wouldn't blame anyone for doing that - what is the Trump regime going to say or do about it?
That’s exactly what I said a few pages back. These masked up, unmarked “officers” have got to ****ing go. There’s no defense for this gestapo nonsense.
Not only is it insane for a civilized society, but the copycat bad actors are an inevitability.

I didn't connect the dots until someone pointed the dots out to me...
Where did you get the image? Stormfront? That's really offensive.
I'm all for more lenient moderation but this is taking the piss and shouldn't be allowed.
Is it bigotry to claim Border Collies are on average better behaved and more intelligent than Bulldogs? How is it nonsense to claim that the same mechanisms that create geographic similarities in height, facial structure, risk of certain diseases, etc, wouldn't also govern personality, behavior, or types of intellect? These are all ultimately physical traits as well, but not
But we pretty much already know the answer. There's very small or no difference between the intellectual abilities of the average person of any race or ethnic group. There is a much much higher difference difference between 2 random members of any race or ethnic group.
Or to make it clear rather than adding a bunch of statistics jargon
If you put an average white guy and an average black guy in separate rooms and feed them a bunch of generic intelligence/knowledge questions you likely won't be able to tell them apart no matter how long you take. But if you did the same thing with a white doctor/lawyer/engineer vs a white rural conservative maga trump supporter you'll be able to tell in 1 minute just with generic intelligence type questions.
I don't either. Juneteenth, which is not known over here, apparently celebrates the liberation of the last American slaves by Union troops in Galveston, TX. Watermelon is associated with those celebrations.

However, a supermarket in Atlanta, GA has been criticised for selling cakes iced to look like watermelon, which is claimed to be 'mockery', and the allegedly controversial cakes have been withdrawn from sale.

Why this is controversial, and what point MSchu thought he was making, I have no idea.
It was already linked if you just read
Southern White resentment against African Americans led to a politically potent cultural caricature, using the watermelon to disparage African Americans as childish and unclean, among other negative attributes.
Is this the episode where we pretend we don't know about the watermelon thing?
And I already linked the association of watermelon with Juneteenth, if you just read. The fact that the cakes were iced to look like watermelon, rather than being actual watermelon cakes (and watermelon cakes are a thing and are considered 'festive':-- https://cookinglsl.com/watermelon-fruit-...), seems pretty trivial.
It's a well known anti black stereotype and I very much doubt MSchu had altruistic intentions here, considering the dubious shite he usually posts.

I'm explaining to you why some people find it offensive, which you claim to not get.
