Right. People were accusing you of pretending to be dumb and not getting it. I don’t think you were pretending.

I get that the offence taken is factitious. It's just a slightly misjudged marketing gag. Other countries have real problems, you know.

I am definitely not normally one to defend faux racial outrage, but I think you are underestimating how it is very reasonable for an American to assume that picture is meant to be a racist attack. I think something is getting lost in cultural translation for you not to see that.

Also, FWIW Juneteenth was a occasion most Americans never heard of until 2020 (I certainly hadn't, or anyone I know) when the liberal establishment seemingly conjured it out of thin air during the moral panic of that summer and made it a federal holiday. And to be honest, like Kwanzaa it never really caught on in the general zeitgeist, and most of the time when someone brings it up now it is normally someone from the right mocking it.

Mfs really getting upset about having more time off work. Anyone complaining about the addition of a federal holiday can go suck a bootstrap.

Quite, and God knows what he's on about, but I doubt that the supermarket in question is run by the KKK.

I doubt it too, but to me Mschu was clearly taking a swipe at black people. He's probably laughing now at all the fuss, troll that he is.

How does the Ice agent know what this clown was doing? If somebody comes up on the back of my car I'm considering it a threat.

You people like to put yourselves into these situations and then cry when bad things happen.

you'll do nothing because you are a pussy

you'll do nothing because you are a pussy

And you will pull on gun on the person.

But complain about others doing the same

In other news, this ****in suckshttps://www.wilderness.org/articles/blog...

this makes me incredibly sad as well

i'm an avid believer that all that state owned land is a massive positive and remote enough that it doesn't interfere with normal economic development

it's really sad this isn't an act but you genuinely believe government agents pulling guns on civilians for taking pictures is the correct course of action

it absolutely does not gel with your "my family was quivering with fear when we drove through a poor neighborhood" mantra, if you're going to fear the abstract threat of mugging or carjacking, you should absolutely fear the very real and visceral threat of an armed government actively pointing weapons in your face for non existent offenses and would probably not face the full extent of consequences if he shot as he did it as part of his job for the gubmint

mind you, most incidents of police brutality or unnecessary shootings i kinda am ok with, "he punched the cops, of course he's getting kicked in the ribs" or "he lunged at them with a knife, despite that they probably could have tased him safely from a distance, i understand the decision they made" etc etc

but that's just insanity, nowhere can you defend that ice agent's action

you're disgusting for cheering that on

Did you see Mike Lee's defense? He basically argued it wasn't national park land or anything like that. Pretty much just empty land in and around cities that made sense to sell so it could be developed.

Two things can be true at once. That this could benefit landowners and big corporations, and could also be a public good.

i mean if done well then sure but this admin has given me no confidence that they can pull this off without major mistakes and once the land is sold you can't squeeze the toothpaste back into the tube

i'm also very biased as i've spent quite a lot of time on blm land hiking, camping, fishing, mountain biking etc and think that's one thing that's really great about the usa, that a big reason why we have wide open spaces not found in most of the world is because the government owns it and just sits on it and allows the public to use it within reason

It's a well known anti black stereotype and I very much doubt MSchu had altruistic intentions here, considering the dubious shite he usually posts.

I definitely got the reference, and it's something people should be careful of, but it's bizarre to me that this is still a thing. It's not by any means black people who enjoy watermelon - my white best friend gets some every year, and when I was a kid growing up (in a white family in the mid-south) there would be watermelon at every summer gathering.

And the fried chicken stereotype is even crazier. IMO, anyone who doesn't like fried chicken has a broken tongue. It's one of my favorite meals, and where I grew up (the home of KFC) it's definitely not considered to be a 'black food'.

Most of the rest of foods that people in the northern US may associate with black people are really just things that nearly everyone in the southern US eats.

Oopsidoodle

That footage was taken in Syria in 2024.

Israel ****ed 'em up.

If I remember correctly that was an abandoned Russian base, and I remember reading that it was likely Israel actually coordinated that bombing with Russia, to assure HTS didn't get their hands on all the munitions left behind. And the large explosions are mostly secondary explosions from munitions being hit.

Lots of people like potatoes but you can still refer to the Irish as potato eaters in a derogatory manner. Same thing with black people and watermelon/fried chicken. Basically Mschu is a racist prick and should have been temp banned for that one.

As I have said before, most of his socialist ideas seem real bad, and as someone who lives 2700 miles away and will be insulated from it, I hope he wins and I look forward to enjoying the spectacle from afar.

Probably a good time to be investing in commercial real estate in places like Florida and New Jersey, as so many businesses will be relocating to avoid the madness.

True progressives are immune from reality so I dont expect them to course correct, but having a high profile socialist experiment could also be good to remind non ideologically captured people how destructive socialism really is.

What example you have in mind ?

that is a thing of beauty... good job Sir.

fathering skills INITIATED!

Kids need to be scolded sometimes. Not sure we should celebrate the scolding being posted online, though.

What type of weirdo uploads something personal like disciplining their kids to social media? 😵

The guy that repost it here MSchu.
Not sure what political messages it brings tho.

The message is fathering skills = intimidating and bullying a child.

Mike Lee is a stooge at best and an abject moron at worst

There isn't a housing supply shortage, there is a shortage of affordable housing

Mix of building materials costing too much, zoning laws not allowing for affordable housing, and margins on "luxury" units being significantly higher all contribute

and shockingly, people will pay too much rent if their only option is to pay too much

What is likely to happen here in Colorado is that popular hiking trails will be bought by rich people and turned into fee areas

I haven’t been following this race much. All I know is that Cuomo and the other candidates tried to make it a referendum on Israel which seems rather confused for a local election. He didn’t seem to have much of a chance before that.

What specific policies does he support that you are worried about?
