I think n5 works, giving all hope to IBD

πŸ˜€

A nappy is a diaper. C5 decent confirmer could be cloth.

Nappy can also mean gross, dirty or unkempt, but those wouldn’t be on the list.

Mmm that makes sense I have heard this now

I'm good w it

diaper

I’ve never heard an American say nappy in my life

It’s a UK/Australia term

But well enough known that it made sense, but coulda been shadowfax for Americans

Good clue πŸ‘

I've never heard an Australian say diaper in my life, but I'd never suggest that could be a shadowfax for non-Americans either.

I would've been floored if that whiffed.

if you poll 100 random Americans on the street "what is a nappy?" only about 20 probably say it's a diaper.

But this is POG so it's much higher

Round 16:

Cards used: 18
Guessers: ibd/pog

The Board:

M | C | P | S | EF | IH | JOVW

The target word:
I sent it to amazingervin, d1iabol1cal, doctor zeus, bolt2112

Don't think I received the target word

yeah I was in a meeting; sending now

V5/V8 good confirmers, possibly good clues

From what I've seen, the average American on the street doesn't know the difference between a country and a continent, so you might be right lol.

POG said he won't be around for the next rounds, so you should prolly take him out of the rotation til he gets back.

There's an m6 that I think works well with v5/8 as a confirmer. Not seeing a whole lot else.

Yeah, I think that different path m6 gets them to think of the word with some others and then v confirmers get them there

H7 confirmer pairs nicely with m6

And then h5 is super lock if they know it but unlikely they do, so they should ignore unless they are super knowledgeable about this and then it’ll be confirmer that we mentioned it

If you listed 5 common American words and their 5 Commonwealth counterparts in random order I'd figure out diaper/nappy, as it's something I've heard somewhere. But as a Sides guesser, I'd be fairly hopeless.

On the other hand, I'd hold my own distinguishing countries from continents.

Interesting. There are certain things that I just assume most people would know...like how cookies = biscuits. I would've put nappies on about the same level as that.

There's a v5 for the area?

Would you guys know aubergine and courgette?

I did actually figure out the H5 cause from this side it's not bad w research lol but that's still shadowfaxy for guessers

The v5...yea idk...it's a tricky word and this could almost work as a clue...could go wrong but also they'd wtf? And name 3 words

Aubergine is eggplant? I don't think I've ever heard of a courgette.

Yh

Courgette is zuccini

Ohi know it too I think?

V5 + h5 might get there tbh
